SUPERB Cazoo Oaks winner Snowfall will bid for a classic double in the Juddmonte Irish Oaks at the Curragh next Saturday.

Speaking to The Irish Field yesterday, Aidan O’Brien said: “The plan is for Snowfall to go to the Irish Oaks and some of the others could go as well. Divinely, Willow and La Joconde are all possibles at this stage but the plan has been to run Snowfall here since Epsom.

“Everything has gone well with her. She was very impressive in the Musidora and she was obviously brilliant in the Oaks, we were delighted with her there.”

O’Brien has won the Irish Oaks five times but only once with a filly who won at Epsom, Alexandrova in 2005. The last filly to complete an Oaks double at the Curragh was Enable, following on from Snow Fairy and Sariska in 2010 and 2009.

There are 15 British entries among the field of 67 with the likes of Roger Varian pair Zeyaadah and Teona possibly interesting contenders. The two-day meeting at the Curragh also features the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes where Michael Browne’s Logo Hunter is set to reappear.

O’Brien also confirmed plans for his other top fillies with Prix de Diane winner Joan Of Arc likely to head for the Nassau Stakes and Goodwood and Love on track for the King George at Ascot in two weeks’ time.
