Baraud
(D.K. Weld)
Curragh May 22nd
He made a good debut last Saturday when he was beaten a length and a half into third by Pinar Del Rio. After racing on the pace, he stuck to his task in pleasing fashion over the course of the last furlong and the benefit of this initial outing could see him take beating whenever he turns out next.
Magic Carousel
(E. Sheehy)
Curragh May 22nd
This filly has made a bright start to her season and she followed a close fourth to Emphatic Answer at Killarney with a good third to Create Belief in a fillies’ handicap where she travelled notably well for much of the race.
There is a nice prize to be won with her at some point this season.
Friendly
(A.P. O’Brien)
Curragh May 23rd
This filly lined up as one of the longest priced runners in the 1000 Guineas and she belied both odds of 100/1 and a rating of 81 to finish a creditable sixth.
It shouldn’t take her long to shed her maiden tag and she can win a stakes race at some point this season.
Tejano
(J.S. Bolger)
Curragh May 23rd
She looked to have progressed well from three to four when winning a Gowran Park maiden earlier this month and she confirmed that impression with a good fourth to Baby Zeus in a smart 10-furlong handicap.
There could be a nice prize to be won with her.
Rock De Baune
(A.A. Howard)
Curragh May 23rd
This former Irish Cesarewitch third ran quite well on his first outing since December 2019 when finishing sixth to Foveros in a two-mile handicap on Sunday.
He was beaten just over 20 lengths but shaped much better than the final result and will be interesting in similar races this summer.
