1.50 SUMMER BBQ EVENINGS MAIDEN HURDLE 2M
Foveros can make a winning debut over timber for the champion trainer. This son of Authorized hasn’t run for over a year but that absence is of no concern and he looked a useful type in France when he reached the frame in five of his six runs.
He signed off with a victory at Longchamp over 1m 1f in April 2018 and has the capacity to make up into a useful jumper.
Nibiru is an interesting rival. He didn’t show much on the flat last time but he was a good third to Sir Erec in a Leopardstown maiden on his last run over hurdles and that is quite a strong piece of form.
SELECTION: FOVEROS
Next Best: Nibiru
2.25 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 3F
She lacks previous jumping experience and she was well held in a top class bumper at Punchestown last week but Penny Out previous two runs would give her every chance.
She began her career with a third to Elk Bridge at Clonmel in late February and she followed that with an excellent fourth to Gypsy Island in a listed bumper at Fairyhouse a month ago.
If she runs to that level she will take beating and she is chosen ahead of My Midnight who shaped with promise to finish third to Little Light at Sligo a couple of weeks ago.
SELECTION: PENNY OUT
Next Best: My Midnight
3.00 BALLYMALOE RELISH RATED NOVICE HURDLE 2M 3F
Popong is put forward to follow up her maiden hurdle victory over a slightly longer trip at Wexford last month.
The daughter of Subtle Power produced a very taking effort that day to defeat Edelpour and the subsequent winner Trappist Monk.
She should be all the better for that initial experience and this looks a good opportunity for her to confirm her position as a mare of promise for the coming months. She is preferred to Bothar Dubh who is a capable type and has won his last two completed starts. Gipsy Lee Rose and Scotch Quay are other likely contenders.
SELECTION: POPONG
Next Best: Bothar Dubh
3.35 HORSE & JOCKEY HOTEL HANDICAP HURDLE 2M 4F
A hopeful vote goes to Lucky Icon who is dropping in class after contesting a Grade B handicap hurdler here over Easter.
On that occasion the Tom Mullins representative shaped up well to be beaten just under 7l into third by Crossed My Mind over a slightly shorter trip than the one he tackles today.
If he can match that level of form he should have the measure of Pilgrim Way who returned from an absence of almost three years to finish a short head second to Bothar Dubh in a 2m handicap here over Easter. Smithscorner is another to note on his return to hurdling.
SELECTION: LUCKY ICON
Next Best: Pilgrim Way
4.10 EXAMINER MAIDEN HURDLE 3M
Foxy Jacks comes here off a respectable showing at the Punchestown Festival where he was beaten just over 14l into seventh in a 2m 2f bumper won by Longhouse Poet.
That was his first run for over four months so he should progress off that run and his penultimate effort, which saw him chase home Malinas Jack in a maiden at Leopardstown over Christmas, represents a strong piece of form.
If he copes with the step up to this trip he could take beating and he is taken to see off the promising Jack Hackett.
He won a point-to-point on his second last start and then last time out he turned in a nice effort to win a point-to-point bumper. He appeals as one that should make a useful hurdler. Lessofdnegativity is another to note following a good run over this course and distance last month.
SELECTION: FOXY JACKS
Next Best: Jack Hackett
4.45 BUY ONLINE @ CORKRACECOURSE.IE HANDICAP HURDLE (80-109) 3M
After landing a gamble at Tipperary on Thursday evening Cray is taken to follow up. The five-year-old has just a 4lbs penalty to contend with and he has shaped as though he will stay further than the 2m 4f he won over two days ago.
If he can last home over this trip he can deal with the veteran Bye Bye O Bye.
The latter shaped up quite well over an inadequate 2m at Kilbeggan last time and he will be much happier over this distance. It is three years since he last won a race but he retains enough ability to make his mark at this level.
SELECTION: CRAY
Next Best: Bye Bye O Bye

Jelara hasn’t run for almost a year but she could be worth taking a chance on.
This daughter of Milan showed promise on her only run to date when she was third to Gone Dancin at Down Royal and she is surely capable of improving on what she showed that day.
Lost Oscar represents a trainer-jockey alliance who has enjoyed notable success with Gypsy Island lately and this newcomer is a half-sister to the Grade 1-winning For Non Stop which makes her very interesting.
SELECTION: JELARA
Next Best: Lost Oscar
