GORESBRIDGE’s 2015 breeze-up catalogue is now online, featuring 236 select two-year-olds. The Kilkenny auction house stages Ireland’s only flat breeze-up sale which attracts buyers from over 20 different countries. The sale takes place on May 22nd with the horses breezing at Gowran Park on May 21st.

The Niarchos family-owned Fiesolana took the 2014 Coolmore Matron Stakes on Irish Champions weekend to become the latest Group 1 winner sold at Goresbridge.

Music Show previously won the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket for Jaber Abdullah while success at the top level has also come across the Atlantic courtesy of the Doug O’Neill-trained Willyconker, winner of the Grade 1 Frank E Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita.

These three Group/Grade 1 winners were bought for a total of €52,000 before proceeding to win €1.25 million in prize money.

Stallions represented in next month’s sale include a wide variety of proven European and American stallions such as Acclamation, Bahamian Bounty, Big Bad Bob, Candy Ride, Cacique, Clodovil, Dandy Man, Danehill Dancer, Dark Angel, Dutch Art, Elusive Quality, Footstepsinthesand, Holy Roman Emperor, Iffraaj, Kodiac, Le Havre, New Approach, Ravens Pass, Royal Applause, Sir Percy and Teofilo.

Promising young sires well represented at this year’s sale include Fast Company, Lope De Vega, Paco Boy, Rip Van Winkle, Showcasing and Zebedee while first-season stallions with progeny catalogued include Cape Blanco, Canford Cliffs, Dick Turpin, Dream Ahead, Frozen Power, Lilbourne Lad, Poet’s Voice, Pour Moi, Roderic O’Connor and Zoffany.
