CHRIS Hayes earned top honours on Wednesday evening when partnering a treble, the first leg coming with an easy success on 5/4 favourite Oneoveryou in the Event Riders Championship Challenge Race At Dundalk Handicap.

The Richard O'Brien-trained mare made most of the running, extended her lead after halfway and went further clear in the closing stages to take the five-furlong sprint by five and a half lengths.

"She looked like she took a step forward from the last day," said O'Brien. "Chris was delighted with her and just kept it simple. We're very lucky and grateful to have her. Michael and Bridie O'Dea are unbelievably fond of her and will get a great kick out of that.

"She might be capable now of stepping into one of those high value handicaps. The Rockingham is there but that's maybe a little bit far away and we might need to find something a bit sooner because she's in a wonderful frame of mind."

Hayes then struck with the Fozzy Stack-trained Harvestfortheworld in the one-mile Dundalk Stadium - Light Up Your Night Maiden, partnering the 5/2 favourite to a one and a half-length victory.

The three-year-old, a daughter of So You Think, had been a half-length runner-up over a furlong less at the same venue in mid-October, her only previous start.

A three-quarter-length success with Schoolboy Error in the irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap brought up the treble for Hayes. The Shane Nolan-trained gelding rewarded his supporters with odds of 9/1.

MAIDEN SUCCESS

The card opened with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, a Plus 10 race for two-year-olds, and the Willie McCreery-trained Jungle Jane made all for a neck success, with odds-on favourite Smart Flies, representing the Jim Bolger stable, only fourth.

The winner, who was ridden by Billy Lee, represents the first crop of freshman sire Bungle Inthejungle, who stands at Rathasker Stud.

Leading English trainer Sir Mark Prescott was also among the winners as he struck with 11/10 favourite Elysees Palace in the one-mile Dundalk Business Club 2018 Maiden. Declan McDonogh was in the saddle.

The five-furlong Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (Plus 10 Race) also went to a successful favourite, with the Joseph O'Brien-trained Now You're Talking (2/7) taking the prize by one and three-quarter lengths in the hands of Donnacha O'Brien.

Nam (6/1) and Niall McCullagh won the seven-furlong Dundalk Stadium On Twitter Handicap for trainer Tom Mullins, and the final race on the card was the 12-furlong Horseware Eventer Riders Championship in which the Kevin O'Donnell-trained Bobeska sprang a 20/1 surprise.

Partnered by Toni Quail, the five-year-old beat Gordon Elliott-trained favourite The Game Changer by two and a half lengths.
