The early pace was moderate but she came home faster over the last quarter mile than Due Diligence, who I rate Ireland’s top sprinter.

Beach Belle earned a rating of 36 from me when winning her debut and I’ve no doubt she could have done that again if she’d been ridden out here.

Royal Ascot is not on the agenda for Beach Belle apparently due to concerns over fast ground. She’ll now be rested for the Phoenix or Moyglare Stakes. I’d prefer the latter event as it is seven furlongs and she’s built and bred for a mile. She continues to look a smart prospect.
