THE focus turns to Fairyhouse next weekend for another feast of top class jumping on Saturday and Sunday.

The triple Grade 1 racecard on Sunday features the Bar One Racing-sponsored Royal Bond Novice Hurdle, Drinmore Novice Chase and Hatton’s Grace Hurdle.

Although Hurricane Fly remains among the entries, stable companion Annie Power is expected to be Willie Mullins’ main representative in the Hatton’s Grace Hurdle, with Zaidpour also a possibility.

The Mullins entries in the Royal Bond include Allez Colombieres, recent winners Nichols Canyon, Sempre Medici and Shaneshill. The four-time winner Seamus would be an emotional winner for Sandra Hughes. The Royal Bond may also see a British raider in the shape of the Venetia Williams-trained Carlisle winner Otago Trail, a former winning pointer here.

The Drinmore Chase is shaping up into very hot race with Apache Stronghold and Gigginstown pair Real Steel and Valseur Lido among the recent winners heading there. Shanahan’s Turn, The Tullow Tank and Gilbamboa have made impressive winning debuts and a top class novice contest is on the cards.

The Premier Jump Racing Weekend kicks off on Saturday at 12.25pm. Sunday’s action starts at 12.30pm and most of the hospitality packages have already been sold, reports manager Peter Roe. The ground was described yesterday as ‘yielding to soft’ and the track is in good condition.
