THE Beechlawn House Hotel, Dunmurry is the venue for Thursday night’s Association of Irish Racehorse Owners’ regional forum, the last of four to take place throughout the country.

The aim of the forums is to allow AIRO, which promotes and protects the interests of Irish owners and represents them on Horse Racing Ireland’s 12-member board, engage with owners and interested parties at regional level.

Richard Pugh, a member of the Council of AIRO, will be MC for the night and the panel will comprise chairman John Weld (introduction), secretary Aiden Burns (insurance) and Aidan McGarry, the ITM/HRI owners’ representative. Fresh from the Northern Ireland Festival of Racing at Down Royal, Mike Todd will speak from a racecourse manager’s perspective while Hugh Suffern will deal with any veterinary matters raised.
