12.55 CASEY CONCRETE BLOCKS MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 4F

Cailin Des Ongrais endured mixed fortunes on his three starts over hurdles last term when his best effort saw him finish a 3½l second to All Souls in a Navan maiden in February. That form looks quite solid and would indicate that this four-year-old should make his mark in a maiden. Also, the French-bred gave the impression that he would have more to offer this season. Hidden Charmer posted a solid effort to finish a 4l fourth to Veronicas Napkin in a Gowran maiden last time out and has further room for improvement. The 102-rated Aretesone will need to improve on his last run at Kilbeggan.

Selection: CAILIN DES ONGRAIS

Next best: Hidden Charmer

1.25 CASEY TARMACADAM MARES HURDLE 2M 4F

On a number of her recent efforts, Billys Hope appeals as a likely winner. Her third to Airlie Beach and Daisy’s Gift at Gowran earlier this month represented a very creditable effort and her fifth behind Penhill at the Galway Festival is another solid run. She makes more appeal than Monbeg Rose, who finished a place ahead of her when the pair took fifth and sixth in a Grade 1 mares event at Fairyhouse last Easter. Monbeg Rose was some way below her best when tackling fences last time. Golden Flowerpower is respected as she is a potentially decent mare. She is making a quick return to action following a hard fought win over Theatre Wine (who disappointed at Clonmel on Thursday) at Roscommon last week.

Selection: BILLYS HOPE

Next best: Monbeg Rose

2.00 CASEY CATTLE SLATS MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Venezia should find this race within his reach. He ran to a solid standard to secure third in a Navan maiden won by Our Boy Boru last month and again showed up well when filling the same position behind Labaik in a Punchestown maiden earlier this month. A repeat of either run could enable him to see off Slemish, who should improve on his second to Abbey Magic in a recent Tramore maiden hurdle, which was his first outing since May. Billy De Kid is another that could make his presence felt.

Selection: VENEZIA

Next best: Slemish

2.30 CASEY CONCRETE GOREY HANDICAP HURDLE (80-95) 3M

After running some way below her best in a bid for a quick follow-up to her Listowel success, Mileys Dream came back to form with a third to The Fitz Lady at Cork a fortnight ago. She is 10lbs higher than when last successful but possibly a switch to this longer trip will work in her favour. Cloudy Morning is a major contender as he looks to follow-up on his victory at Clonmel on Thursday. He will be quite at home over this longer trip as he showed when only just denied by For Sinead at Thurles the previous week. Tb Broke Her lines up with a solid chance and Coole Craft is a contender on some of his efforts from last winter.

Selection: MILEYS DREAM

Next best: Cloudy Morning

3.05 CASEY BROTHERS SUPPORTING THEIR LOCAL RACECOURSE BEGINNERS CHASE 2M 4F

Call It Magic showed that a race of this nature would be well within his reach with a solid performance at Roscommon last week that saw him finish a 6l second to the useful Space Cadet. He won’t have any trouble matching that form over this longer trip and he is preferred to No Dice, who comes here off a neck second to Beautiful Ben in a similar event at Tramore. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if the switch to chasing saw the winning pointer Black Franks Angel step forward markedly on the form that she has shown on her two previous racecourse outings.

Selection: CALL IT MAGIC

Next best: No Dice

3.40 CASEY PRECAST HANDICAP CHASE 2M 4F

The Mooch is taken to prevail on his first outing for 184 days. The eight-year-old developed into a very reliable handicapper last term and he won a reasonable 2m 1f contest at Leopardstown before chasing Colms Dream in a valuable 2m 5f event at the same venue. He signed off for the campaign with an honourable second in the Ulster National. King’s Wharf won three times during the summer and has since followed that with some honourable runs in defeat, the latest of which saw him lose out to Killiney Court at Tipperary at the start of the month. The top-weight Captain Von Trappe has a chance on the pick of his handicap efforts from last season and he should improve for his respectable comeback third behind Monksland at Galway.

Selection: THE MOOCH

Next best: King’s Wharf

4.10 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MARES (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M

Three Swallowsnick could make a successful start on the racecourse. This daughter of Westerner won both her starts in points last season and looked to win with plenty in hand on both occasions. She could have most to fear from Like An Open Book whose career began last week with a respectable fourth to L’andana in a bumper at Thurles.

Selection: THREE SWALLOWSNICK

Next best: L’Andana
