Rodaniche ran a blinder on his racecourse debut and can take the opener. There was only a length and three-quarters between him and the winner Skippin’ Court at Listowel, and he shaped as if he needed further. The step up in trip should suit this point-to-point recruit perfectly and the predicted soft ground should pose no issues.

Chiricahua was running right upsides the selection at Listowel before crashing out at the last. He looked to be travelling strongly on that occasion when sent off favourite and is sure to make his presence felt again.

If back to her best, Queens Brook should be hard to beat. The former champion bumper third had only three runs last season, one of which was a short-head second to eventual Grade 1 winner Skyace. She was also third to Concertista in a Grade 2 contest at Fairyhouse in November and though she hasn’t been seen since, this represents a fine opportunity for her to get off the mark over hurdles.

Lunar Display ran a solid race in listed company behind Mrs Milner at Limerick on her previous run and can be competitive again. She wasn’t disgraced on her seasonal reappearance at Gowran behind Western Victory and can produce a solid showing again.

Snapped up after winning a point-to-point bumper, Mr Fred Rogers can get off to the perfect start for Gordon Elliot. He beat stablemate Gortmillish (declared to run at Galway today) on that occasion, and did it in good fashion. The Sholokhov gelding looks the one to beat, with Jack Kennedy booked.

A dual winner on the flat for Sir Michael Stoute, Jeweller is interesting on his hurdles debut for Paul Power. He didn’t run all that badly in the Ladies Trophy at the Curragh and is certainly capable of getting involved if his jumping is up to scratch.

This could be another one for Gordon Elliott, this time with British import Ever So Cool. The Shantou mare had some decent form for Dan Skelton, most notably when scoring at Uttoxeter in May. This doesn’t look the strongest of heats and she could potentially be well-treated now off a mark of 99.

Better Than Heaven struck a shock on his handicap debut when scoring at 33/1 at Navan. This is tougher off an 8lb rise but he has scope to improve again.

If Fire Attack can transfer his hurdles form to fences then he should prove hard to beat. He’s rated 132 over the smaller obstacles, which is 17lbs higher than what his closest rival today achieved. His form includes some decent performances in listed events and he looks the one to beat today.

Champagne Sparkles ran well on his chasing debut at Tramore and can be competitive again. He was no match for Recite A Prayer that day but jumped okay and can benefit from the experience.

The return to two and a half miles can see Filon D’Oudairies get back to winning ways. Joseph O’Brien’s six-year-old was a good winner over this course and distance back in August and wasn’t disgraced when third behind the progressive Fairyhill Run at Kilbeggan subsequently. He had today’s rival Marshalled well behind that day and could potentially be well treated off 116, a mark still 7lbs lower than his hurdles assessment.

She Tops The Lot finally got her head in front at Tipperary earning a 6lb higher mark. She has been consistent this summer, finishing second no less than four times, so it won’t be a surprise at all to see her run well again.

On jockey bookings, Scarlet Watch looks the pick, with Jamie Codd opting for the more experienced mare as opposed to newcomer Chestnut Rose.

The daughter of Masked Marvel was sixth of 18 on her racecourse debut at Listowel and if she is able to learn from the experience, the Cork point winner may prove hard to stop.

Kicking Princess is interesting back in bumper company. She was a good third to Glan over hurdles at Fairyhouse and on her run before that she filled the same position behind the promising Party Central. That’s a good level of form which suggests she can go close today.
