1.10 ADARE MANOR OPPORTUNITY MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Hammerstein is a lightly-raced progressive individual who has been steadily improving as he gains experience. Although yet to race over hurdles, his bumper form has been solid, especially his latest impressive success at Tramore. He has the profile of one who could have more to offer now he is switched to hurdles.

Tenth Amendment has been largely consistent since joining his current handler and another big run can be anticipated. The four-year-old broke his maiden tag on the flat recently and had run some promising races over flights prior to that. He will be difficult to beat as he has crucial hurdling experience to call upon.

SELECTION: HAMMERSTEIN

Next best: Tenth Amendment

1.40 GARRY FLOOD LANDSCAPING HANDICAP HURDLE 2M

Nulife can add to his previous course and distance win to make it win number two at the south east track. Denis Hogan’s charge ran a nice race when third at Bellewstown last time out and also boasts a recent flat success at Gowran Park. His ability to handle the tight track here is a distinct advantage and Hogan has his string in great form.

Lusis Naturea is seriously well handicapped over hurdles relative to his best flat form. Despite that ability being mostly on the all-weather surfaces, he showed that turf held no fears when scoring at Down Royal last time. He looks certain to be involved once again, with his capable pilot once again claiming a valuable 7lbs.

SELECTION: NULIFE

2.15 MENAPIA MOTORS RENAULT OPPORTUNITY HANDICAP HURDLE (DIVISION 1) 2M4F

Time Is Time, who built on a couple of solid placed efforts at Kilbeggan last time, can make it back-to-back wins here. The nine-year-old is adaptable with regards to trip and had no issues with stepping down in distance at the County Westmeath track last time out. He will be staying on late here when others have had enough and looks a solid prospect in a weak affair.

Cappacon boasts a somewhat similar profile to the selection, having finished third on his penultimate start, before winning last time. Oliver McKiernan’s runner handles fast ground but any rain that falls will benefit him more than his main rivals.

SELECTION: TIME IS TIME

Next best: Cappacon

2.50 MENAPIA MOTORS RENAULT OPPORTUNITY HANDICAP HURDLE (DIVISION 2) 2M4F

Cantkidakidder was an easy winner at Tramore on his penultimate outing, before again running well at Killarney last time. The latter race didn’t really work out for the Noel Dooly-trained eight-year-old but he kept on in determined fashion behind an easy victor. He still gave the impression he is a nicely handicapped horse so should be followed here despite having to concede weight to his rivals.

Gliondar Mo Chroi stepped up on previous form when second at Sligo last time but needs to prove she can repeat that effort. A similar run would almost definitely be good enough to be competitive at the business end here.

SELECTION: CANTKIDAKIDDER

3.25 M2 CONSTRUCTION MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 3M

Biddy The Boss deserves to get her head in front having been a close second on each of her last two starts. Gavin Cromwell’s mare boasts the strongest form of any in this line up so if she turns up on the day it will take a smart one to beat her. This track will also suit her running style as she bids to add to her sole previous success.

Isle Of Destiny is really well treated at the weights, especially when one takes her rider’s claim into account. She is undoubtedly open to more improvement than most in this field, although her lack of experience would be a slight negative.

SELECTION: BIDDY THE BOSS

Next best: Isle Of Destiny

4.00 AUDREY MCGRATH MEMORIAL NOVICE CHASE 2M

Miss Sassie should prove difficult to beat in what has the makings of a competitive contest. The locally trained mare has plenty of experience despite her young age and numbers a course and distance victory amongst her formlines. This race is sure to have been a target for some time, so she will arrive here ready to perform to maximum ability.

Arcenfete made a winning debut over fences at Roscommon last time, having only his fifth start in this country. A winner in his native France for previous connections, he has scope for further progress so deserves plenty of respect as he bids to keep his unbeaten record over fences intact.

SELECTION: MISS SASSIE

Next best: Arcenfete

4.35 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF OPPORTUNITY HANDICAP CHASE 2M

Das Mooser is an effective front-running chaser on her day but needs to hear her hooves rattle. Mark Fahey’s charge was an impressive winner at Limerick back in July but struggled somewhat on easier ground on her two most recent starts. If the rain stays away overnight then she should be good enough to resume winning ways on a track that looks tailormade for her prominent racing style.

Dark Outsider has run some of his better races at this venue but was slightly below par here on recent visits. He may just have needed some help from the handicapper, so connections decision to claim off top weight looks a wise move. It would be no surprise to see him throw down the biggest challenge to the Fahey mare.

SELECTION: DAS MOOSER

5.10 DAN BYRNE MEMORIAL HANDICAP CHASE 3M1F

Double Windsor has solid form figures which entitle him to maximum respect in a race of this nature. A previous course winner, who has won over three miles over hurdles, he has been consistent this summer. The likely fast conditions will be in his favour and he arrives here in better form than most.

Black Jewel has been threatening to win for some time and will almost certainly get his turn at some stage. He has been well placed by Paul Flynn and this looks another contest where he is at least taking on rivals of similar ability. One day it may just all come together for the son of Scorpion.

SELECTION: DOUBLE WINDSOR

Next best: Black Jewel
