Little Folke can make a winning return from a 157-day break. When she was last in action, she finished a respectable fourth to Airlie Beach and Shattered Love in a Grade 3 at Down Royal and, prior to that, she was demoted to second having initially passed the post in front in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel in September. That form makes her hard to oppose and she can deal with Supreme One whose debut third to Burndown and Call The Taxie at Wexford is a very reasonable effort. She probably found the ground too testing on her next outing. Of the others the 93-rated Day Day is not without a chance as her last run behind Adreamstillalive looks much better now than it did at the time.
Selection: LITTLE FOLKE
Next Best: Supreme One

A previous course success and some respectable hurdling form marks out Ballyegan Hero as a likely contender. The 116-rated six-year-old won a bumper here in October and was then a fair third to Stand Up And Fight in a Punchestown maiden before signing off with a third to Brave Out over this course and distance in December. He is probably better than he got to show on testing ground last time out. Torrent Des Mottes is an interesting newcomer representing top connections. He is a son of Montmartre and of a winning Lavirco mare who is a half-sister to several talented French jumpers. A return to her best form could make Black Franks Angel a threat.
Selection: BALLYEGAN HERO
Next Best: Torrest Des Mottes

Show And Go has had a good season over fences with two victories and he could successfully turn his attentions back to hurdling. On his penultimate start over hurdles, he won a Downpatrick handicap in July 2015 and is now only 5lbs higher. Furthermore, he has probably improved since he was last seen over hurdles, as evidenced by form such as his one and a quarter-length second to Oscar Knight in a handicap chase at Galway in October. Glendine River has a near 200-day break to overcome but she is especially well suited to this track, as she showed when winning on the flat and over hurdles at the August Festival. Broughtons Star is another to keep in mind, along with Clounts Meadows.
Selection: SHOW AND GO

A chance is taken on the former Cheltenham Festival winner Flaxen Flare. The 2013 Fred Winter hero went on to develop into a quality handicap hurdler, he made a winning debut over fences at Down Royal in May 2015, but was then off the track until last month. On that occasion he performed quite well to finish third to Bonbon Au Miel and he should do better over this longer trip on better ground. Bellow Mome has struggled in some quality contests since defeating General Principle at Thurles in November but, back at this level, he should mount a strong challenge. Montys Meadow is certainly good enough to play a major role but has questions to answer after his last couple of runs, a comment that also applies to All Hell Let Loose.
Selection: FLAXEN FLARE

The Mooch hasn’t been at his best this season but there has been enough in a couple of his recent runs to suggest that he could make his presence felt. Last week he was a respectable sixth behind Black Zero at Limerick but, prior to that, he shaped up well for a long way when taking fourth behind Mr Diablo in a valuable 2m5f handicap chase at Leopardstown, which is a strong piece of form. Just Get Cracking likes this track and his stable was among the winners this week. His last two runs in well contested 2m1f handicap chases make him a leading contender but he still has to prove that he is as effective over longer trips.
Selection: THE MOOCH

Dawerann enjoyed a productive time over hurdles prior to Christmas and he is very interesting now that he switches his attentions to fences. A 2m4f handicap hurdle winner at Punchestown in December, this gelding would prefer a longer trip to be at his best. However, he is coming here in much better heart than most of his rivals and a recent outing at Downpatrick should have left him in good shape for this. He is chosen ahead of Bellgrove whose third to Sunsetstorise at Navan last month was his first outing for over three months. Bellgrove has an obvious chance on form such as his head second to Hard Bought at Clonmel in November.
Selection: DAWERANN
Next Best: Bellgrove

This could see Classic Theatre get off the mark at the third attempt following a couple of solid showings in decent events. On her debut, she chased home the useful Awayinthewest in a Fairyhouse bumper and last time out she was fourth to Fayonagh at the same track. Although she was well-beaten last time, Classic Theatre was contesting one of the best mares’ bumpers of the season and she should be able to make her mark in this sphere. She is preferred to Become Legend who was beaten a dozen lengths in a Punchestown bumper last May. That race has thrown up several subsequent winners and this daughter of Mahler is entitled to progress from that initial outing.
Selection: CLASSIC THEATRE
Next Best: Become Legend
