1.40 Tramore Amusement & Leisure Park Maiden Hurdle 2m

Cottie can get off the mark. She should find this a good deal less demanding than the handicap hurdle at Galway in which she finished a respectable seventh to Nodoubtaboutthat and she has a decent chance on some of her other form.

A repeat of her penultimate second to Versin Getorix at Kilbeggan should see her closely involved. Her biggest threat could from Clifftop who has won on the flat this summer and ran well to finish third to Buddy Rich in a conditions hurdle at Downpatrick last month.

SELECTION: COTTIE

Next best: Clifftop

2.15 Frank Gillane Handicap Hurdle (80-95) 2m

Withallduerespect looks solid. She comes here off two very respectable runs in defeat which yielded a third to Westernerona at Downpatrick before filling the same position behind Darkened at Kilbeggan last week. If she can match the form she showed in those two outings, she may be able to deal with Secret Sea.

The latter finished down the field on the flat at Tipperary lately but previously lost out by a neck to Where’s Bunny in a handicap hurdle at Kilbeggan and she has also won on the flat this summer.

Dazzling Darren is interesting as he looks to build on a flat handicap success at the Galway Festival.

SELECTION: WITHALLDUERESPECT

Next best: Secret Sea

2.50 Comeragh Veterinary Maiden Hurdle 2m 5f 100yds

Brideswell Lad could be the answer. He was a beaten favourite at Wexford a few months ago when losing out by a head to Mamaslittlestar, but might be better judged on his previous fifth in a Punchestown Festival bumper won by My Mate Mozzie. His fourth to Max Flamingo in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle in the spring is another strong effort.

He can deal with Courting Flow who was pulled up at Galway last time, after which he was reported to have hung badly. However, he would have a leading chance if getting back to the form that saw him placed in maidens won by Bardenstown Lad and Sovereign Gold earlier this season.

SELECTION: BRIDESWELL LAD

3.25 Heinz Pollmeier Memorial Handicap Chase (0-102) 1m 7f 170yds

A chance is taken on Back On The Bridle. He has yet to win a race but has posted some encouraging efforts over the course of his career and one of those came at Tipperary last month when he finished a respectable third to Hungry Tiger in a two-mile handicap chase. He may not need to improve much on that showing to succeed.

Unlike many of his rivals, Give Me A Moment has a relatively recent win to his name having landed a handicap chase over an extended two miles and one furlong at Tipperary in the first week of the season. He hasn’t matched that effort in two subsequent outings but he must have a live chance in a weak race.

SELECTION: BACK ON THE BRIDLE

4.00 Viking Triangle Waterford Mares Beginners Chase 2m 6f

Klassy Kay can make a winning start over fences. She has won three times over hurdles over the last year with her most recent success coming off a mark of 106 at Wexford a couple of months ago. She also ran well in a competitive handicap hurdle at the Galway Festival and appeals as being able to make her mark in a race such as this.

She looks to have most to fear from the 112-rated Reine Fee. The latter chased home Tune The Chello in a mares’ beginners’ event at Limerick last time and is certainly good enough to make her mark at this level. She sets a decent standard.

SELECTION: KLASSY KAY

Next best: Tune The Chello

4.35 McCarthys Irish Bar Lexington Handicap Chase 2m 6f

A hopeful vote goes to Arthur’s Quay. He was a capable hurdler when he reached a rating of 124 and he appeals as being able to progress further as a chaser. He was having his first run since November when he contested a handicap chase at Tipperary last month and he shaped quite well in taking fourth behind Funky Dady. He was beaten just over 26 lengths that day but is put forward in the expectation that he can improve from that effort.

Centurion Steel should run well. He won over fences over this course and distance in June and followed that with a respectable third to Fairyhill Run in a competitive handicap chase at Limerick last month.

SELECTION: ARTHUR’S QUAY

Next best: Centurion Steel

5.10 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Flat Race 2m

Tasiteasai is an unoriginal choice to make a winning debut. She represents the all-conquering pair of Willie and Patrick Mullins and also makes plenty of appeal on pedigree. She is a daughter of Sageburg and she is out of a very useful mare who won four times for the yard.

Kilbarry Chianti looks an obvious danger. She was third in a Punchestown Festival bumper on her debut and didn’t quite match that form at this track in early June, but that first run makes her a formidable contender.

SELECTION: TASITEASAI

Next best: Kilbarry Chianti
