Roachdale House should be approaching peak fitness on this third start after a break so must hold leading claims. The Paul Flynn-trained nine-year-old ran well on his reappearance over hurdles at Tipperary but improved significantly when second at Roscommon back over fences last time. It is somewhat surprising to see him turn up at Tramore with Galway on the horizon but perhaps connections feel this is a good opportunity.

Bective Cave was a good winner over hurdles at Kilbeggan last time so has to be considered off a much lower chase mark. However, there has to be a concern that he is a better horse over the smaller obstacles. Nonetheless, it is hard to get away from the fact he is so well in if putting it all together.

Waitnsee can show the benefit of her recent chase debut at Killarney by taking this tight contest. The mare was a gallant third on that occasion, with the form having since received a boost with the runner-up winning during the week. John Patrick Ryan does a fantastic job with a relatively small string of horses and this looks another nice type.

Boro Tai, who carries the famous Dawn Run silks of the Hill family, also shaped well on his initial foray over fences when fifth at Tipperary earlier this month. With that experience under his belt, he should be all the sharper now so has to be feared for local trainer Henry De Bromhead.

Myoakclahome has already proven his ability to act around the track, having finished second in a similar contest here last time. A lightly raced individual having only his fifth start under rules, this former point-to-point winner appears to have been found an ideal opening. David O’Brien has his horses in great form since the resumption of racing and this could be a nice winner for the Kilkenny-based trainer.

Give Him Time flopped on his stable debut earlier this month but showed that running to be all wrong when easily winning last time at Downpatrick. If returning in the same vein of form here then he will be a serious threat to the O’Brien horse.

Escort’namix carries somewhat of a health warning having failed to take advantage of a similar opportunity at this track last week. However, she was racing over two miles and five furlongs on that occasion so perhaps back at the minimum trip she can finally shed her maiden tag.

Sani Pass ran well on her only start between the flags but could manage no better than sixth on her hurdling debut. On the face of it, dropping down to the minimum trip may not appear the obvious move but her connections are wise enough to have a plan in mind. In a race that won’t take much winning she has to hold leading claims.

Yug ran very well on his return from a lengthy absence when third at Fairyhouse last month. Although unable to build on that effort when down the field at Killarney last time, he has to be given another chance in a moderate handicap hurdle. Strictly on ratings he would appear to be well treated over flights although he does need to show more now. A reproduction of his Fairyhouse effort would be good enough if equating that flat form to hurdles.

Gone Racing showed that he had found his level when fourth on his handicap debut recently. Still relatively lightly raced, the son of Getaway is entitled to have derived enough benefit from that initial experience to see him involved now. He certainly has plenty of scope for improvement so must be feared.

Moll Dote was a very easy winner of a maiden hurdle over course and distance last week and can follow-up. Although racing off a 12lb higher mark, she may still have something in hand on a track she clearly appreciates.

Last week she had six lengths in hand of a 100-rated animal, so despite her subsequent hike there is no reason to think she can’t play a leading role and her prominent racing style suits this track ideally.

Pat Coyne was second in a handicap hurdle here on his debut for a new trainer, only giving best late on. Having been reassessed in the meantime, he may now have enough of a pull to overturn the form with winner Elegant Dan.

Geraldo who was a beaten favourite at Kilbeggan on his debut under rules and can go one better. The former point-to-point winner had every chance on that occasion but was just run out of it close home. He travelled well despite the sharp nature of the Westmeath track so should have no problems around this similar circuit.

No Strangers Here makes his debut for John McConnell having come over from the Philip Hobbs yard. Third on his debut in a strong race at Wincanton, he failed to jump with any fluency on his hurdles debut before being pulled up. Returning to bumpers could be a confidence booster but if he is fit and ready for this assignment then he has to be feared.
