A blacktype bumper and hurdles performer, Future Prospect might be the type to take well to chasing, especially since she began her career with a point-to-point success. The hood she usually wears has been left off here and, on hurdles form, she stacks up well with this opposition.
Emily Love has a likeable profile and was in the process of running well enough on her chasing bow at Killarney when falling two fences from home three weeks ago. However, that fall came as a result of not engaging her landing gear and her style of jumping does look like it can be improved upon. She was returning from a 201-day absence then, though, so she’s entitled to find progression. Pampar Lady has been off since October but isn’t out of it on her best form.

The locally-trained Aclass had a right crack at a better handicap chase than this here last time and, off 3lb higher, he’s expected to be right in the firing line once again. He operates well at this track and has only once failed to collect a pay cheque in eight starts over fences.
Lake Chad won well here last month, apparently relishing the better ground, and is 8lb higher now. The runner-up from his last start was only just touched off at Limerick since. Dinoland comes here in good form too, while Jouster has the potential to pop up in one of these.
SELECTION: ACLASS

A weak event in which Cullenwaine, who finished second to the aforementioned Lake Chad at this venue two starts ago, gets a tentative nod. He backed that up with another good run at Limerick since, filling the same position, and that type of consistency could take him a long way in this grade.
The in-form Zolpharine is declared to run here on Friday night, so how he runs there and whether he makes a quick reappearance will have a shape on this race. Mount Shenshan wasn’t disgraced at Wexford last time over further and this trip could work better for him. My Good Pal and Patrick Street are others worth considering in an open contest.
SELECTION: CULLENWAINE

Karma d’Airy was an expensive runner for her supporters in a maiden hurdle at Clonmel back in January 2025 when last seen, beaten 27 lengths in third as 1/2 favourite. However, she looked better than that previously in France and she reportedly showed signs of delayed recovery post race, so she may have had a physical excuse on her Irish bow. Seven Towers has posted back-to-back solid bumper showings the last twice and Le Roi Du Livet wasn’t beaten far in a Cork novice event earlier this month. The fact Paul Townend prefers the selection over stablemate Drombane isn’t a positive.

There was enough promise in what Blue Moon Boy showed when second at Sligo last time to suggest he can win a race of this nature for Andrew Kinirons. He got put up 3lb for being beaten two and a quarter lengths, but that was his handicap hurdle debut and he’s fully entitled to be all the better for it. He was good enough to win a Galway Festival maiden on the flat and appears to be coming into form.
Under a 7lb penalty, Topofthelane runs 3lb well in after a ready Wexford victory on Wednesday. Rogue Sea is a potentially lively stable switcher to Ian Donoghue and the largely unexposed Las Brisas Boy appeared to be well fancied when beaten last time on his third handicap start (not overly exposed at the moment).

In an ordinary-looking unplaced maiden hurdle, Thiscouldbetheone is a token selection. Martin Brassil’s five-year-old is bred to be much better than he’s shown so far as a brother to the stable’s Cheltenham Festival winner City Island, and he’s been contesting better races than this.
He now tries cheekpieces for the first time, as does Gordon Elliott’s Fabhcun, who was beaten a dozen lengths at Kilbeggan last time. Point winner Nells Princess ran well on her rules bow before quieter runs the last twice over hurdles.

Willie Mullins had no runner in the last two renewals of this race but had won four of the previous five editions. His 2026 representative Cotswold Blue, an Authorized six-year-old out of a half-sister to Big Buck’s, probably wouldn’t have to be a star to make an immediate impact under Patrick Mullins in this contest.
She’s been hooded for her debut, as has the well-bred Arivabodiva, who hails from a Jonathan Sweeney team already among the winners this week. C’est Elle and Gortnaclea Castle’s experience will be a big benefit around here.
