The Joseph O’Brien-trained Mawhibah can open her account at the third time of asking. A promising fifth on her debut at Leopardstown in June, the daughter of Australia improved for the step up to this trip when fourth at Limerick last month. That latter race has already thrown up a couple of subsequent winners so the form looks strong.

Paddy Twomey had a couple of entries for this contest so the fact he relies on newcomer Sea Of The Celts could be significant. An unraced daughter of Sea The Stars, any market support for the Robert Moran-owned filly should be noted.

Grade 1-winning chaser Solness can register a first success on the flat. Fourth in a stronger race at the Curragh on his penultimate start, the Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding suggested that he was capable of winning at this level. A recognised front runner, he should appreciate this track.

Having reached the frame on her latest two starts, Glittering Gem shouldn’t be far away. A daughter of Frankel, the Dermot Weld-trained filly has scope for improvement stepping up to this distance for the first time.

Rodeo Blues failed to complete the hat-trick at Galway last time but ran a solid race in fifth. In excellent form coming into that contest, the Joseph O’Brien-trained filly could still be a shade ahead of the handicapper and has to hold strong claims in this grade.

Limerick runner-up Maxminelli shouldn’t be far away. Perhaps unlucky to bump into an improving filly on that occasion, the locally-trained gelding has the services of leading National Hunt jockey Darragh O’Keeffe.

Runner-up on his latest two starts over hurdles, the Andrew McNamara-trained Metamorpheus can score on his return to the flat. Undoubtedly well treated in the latter sphere, the son of Morpheus can land this for his in-form stable. A dual winner on the all weather, Limestone Red could prove well handicapped on turf.

Although yet to get his head in front on the grass, the Tracey Collins-trained six-year-old gave the impression that he could exploit that mark when second at Killarney last time.

Fifth at Galway last month, the Willie Mullins-trained Rakki can step forward to record a first win on the flat. Having travelled strongly for much of that contest, the gelding weakened late on over two-miles. Dropping back in trip here looks a wise move and he can score.

A facile winner over course and distance last time, Churchwarden shouldn’t be discounted. While the handicapper has had his say with a 12lb hike, the six-year-old couldn’t have done it any easier.

Spasiba has been off the track a long time but that’s no cause for concern coming from this yard. Last seen when pulled up in a Grade 1 hurdle at Naas in January 2025, the gelding had landed his maiden hurdle at that same track on his previous start. While he is entitled to come on from this, it would be no surprise if he proved too good.

Dream On Baby shouldn’t be far away. A listed winner over hurdles, the Emmet Mullins-trained mare won a flat maiden over course and distance on Thursday evening, meaning she’ll carry a 7lb penalty today.

Twice successful at Dundalk since last seen on turf, the Pat Flynn-trained Gallo Dell Cielo can take this finale.

Well treated on grass relative to his all-weather mark, the six-year-old is hard to get away from. His trainer always likes to have a winner at this local meeting and his representative here holds strong claims.

Course-and-distance winner Bynx looks the main threat. Her proven ability to act around here is a huge positive, as is the booking of leading rider Ben Coen.
