5.10 July 8th Family Day Mares’ Beginners Chase 1m 7f 130yds
Gaoth Chuil is the highest-rated over hurdles by some way and made a satisfactory start over fences. Her best form may be over further, but her class should prevail and she is a bumper winner by Harzand after all.
Ma Belle Etoile impressed last time in a novice hurdle on what was her second start for the yard, who must see more potential over fences.
Amanha has some useful hurdle form and it’s interesting that connections have kept her on the go and switched to fences, rather than give her a break. Femme Magnifique is of interest back from a break.
SELECTION: GAOTH CHUIL

5.45 Tramore Handicap Chase 2m 6f
Plenty of in-form contenders, including Pipers Boreen, a beginners chase winner over course and distance last time. She looks capable of defying the 3lb she received, but would prefer rain.
The ground should be less of an issue for Therellbguddaysyet, who finished sixth behind her the last day, beaten 13 and a quarter lengths on chase debut. He stuck to the task gallantly, should come on from that effort, is at level weights today and benefits from an in-form 5lb claimer in Tiernan Power Roche.
Portarlington won a handicap chase here in November – the second leg of a hat-trick – and is versatile regarding ground, but looks in the grips of the handicapper now.
The Little Yank ran his best race in a long time when last seen in January, so he may be nearing a return to winning ways. It has been over two years since his last success.
SELECTION: THERELLBGUDDAYSYET
Next best: Pipers Boreen

Dual point-to-point winner Kyle Valley intrigues on chase debut, fit from her best run under rules, when beaten a head in a handicap hurdle.
Miners Bridge disappointed in hunter chases but fared better over hurdles since and previously showed he could jump when winning a Boulta maiden. Another point winner, Ta Se Rua, gained his first win under rules as a 12-year-old here last month, but this is another kettle of fish.
Must Be Dreaming is on her way back down to the mark she won a handicap chase here but has shown little evidence that she’ll stay this trip.
SELECTION: KYLE VALLEY

Sea Of Doubt went close against a more experienced rival in a mares’ maiden hurdle over course and distance last month, the front pair finishing clear of the field. She showed a great attitude against geldings last time and that experience should stand to her.
Kainsbourg has yet to justify his €355,000 price tag or build on his promising hurdle debut, but perhaps the drier ground will yield improvement. The Store Boy cost less but this Blue Bresil gelding appeals on pedigree for respected connections.
Deed Pole comes fit from the flat and is by Poet’s Word, a sire whose progeny have made a bright start over jumps.
SELECTION: SEA OF DOUBT
Next best: Kainsbourg
7.15 Dunmore East Handicap Hurdle 2m 50yds
Good Bye Milan ran well on return when she appeared to tire in the closing stages and should strip fitter today. Applejack Poet is another to have shown recent promise and runs off the same mark of his sole success.
Aiming for a first win from 19 starts is Cramers Valley, who must bounce back from a disappointing effort last time. May Call You Back, who got off the mark over fences last summer, has a significant absence to overcome. This drier ground, drop in the weights and the benefit of a break could help Torquay Road reproduce what he showed on his winning hurdle debut, though the disappointing efforts since make it difficult to be confident.
SELECTION: GOOD BYE MILAN
Next best: Applejack Poet

Very little promise to go on based on previous form. The Willie Mullins’ pair have both been the subject of market support in the past. Sunset Boulevard shaped like he would appreciate a greater stamina test, like his talented sibling Jungle Boogie did, and he’ll get that here today.
SELECTION: SUNSET BOULEVARD

Plenty have shown previous promise, including debut fourth Fraher Field. She was beaten 20 lengths, but that was against geldings at the Punchestown Festival and she had plenty of ground to make up turning for home.
Early Bird was well-backed on both her starts, most recently a much-improved fourth at Leopardstown and looks open to further progression today. Wild Mandate made an encouraging return this month and has four bumper placings to her name.
For My Mother was sent off joint-favourite on debut at Ballyragget, when she pulled up, but could justify that support on her second attempt. Tricksofthetrade showed promise on rules debut but may be seen to better effect over further.
Closutton newcomers always deserve respect and Liadawn’s half-sister won a Grade 3 hurdle and finished third in the Grade 2 mares’ bumper at Aintree.
SELECTION: FRAHER FIELD
Next best: Early Bird
