Sneaky Getaway looks to have been found the ideal opportunity to continue his unbeaten record over flights. Although the Cesarewitch winner will undoubtedly prefer further in time, he has the pace to cope with this drop in trip. It would be no surprise to see him develop into a decent staying handicapper this winter.

Crosshill impressed with the manner of his victory in a maiden hurdle at this track last time, the form of which has been subsequently franked. He also has a slight question mark dropping back half a mile here but will be a contender if coping with the lesser test.

Skyace, who has been a revelation since joining Shark Hanlon, can follow up her recent Down Royal success. That latter race, in Grade 3 company, was of a similar standard and she had no difficulties in conceding weight to her rivals. A repeat performance would make her very hard to beat.

Finest Evermore is a difficult opponent to evaluate as she is unbeaten over hurdles but faces her biggest test to date.

However, her trainer has any number of quality mares to choose from so it could be significant she runs here.

Burlesque Queen is likely to have had this race as a target for some time and shaped with plenty of promise on her reappearance at Cork. Liz Doyle’s mare was placed three times over course and distance last year so clearly has an affinity for the track. A solid effort when stepped up in grade at Leopardstown marks her down as the one to beat.

The Great White is a real threat lurking towards the foot of the weights. A former point-to-point winner, he caught the eye staying on over an inadequate trip last time out.

Captain Guinness has a bit to prove having pulled up on his chasing debut but still looks the one to beat. A last-flight casualty in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle last year, he has the potential to develop into a high-class novice chaser over the coming months. He is certainly in the right hands to do so.

Alfa Mix progressed through the handicap last winter and ended up running a big race in the Coral Cup. He, too, can do well over fences but may find life easier once stepping up in distance.

Moyross is potentially well treated over fences and remains open to improvement after just the five starts. A former point-to-point winner, he won his first two runs over hurdles before finding the jump into Grade 1 company a bridge too far. Stamina has always looked his forte so he has plenty to recommend him.

Arverne was a well backed favourite when second at this track last time so improvement was clearly expected. First-time cheekpieces may bring out that bit more now.

Aslukwoodhavit is a speculative suggestion in a finale where form is thin on the ground. Willie Mullins is always the best man to start with in such races and his representative here is a half-brother to a 130-rated hurdler.

Champagne Sparkles represents another leading trainer/jockey combination in this sphere so is put forward as one who could also play a role in the latter stages.
