1.35 BETVICTOR MAIDEN HURDLE 2M1F

Melburnian won twice in France for his former trainer, before showing first sign of ability over hurdles latest.

While there must be a slight worry that he is being handicapped over flights, the weakness of this race makes him a serious candidate for success.

Tony Martin has done well at this May meeting over the years so his runners should always be considered here.

Morning Skye, who was second at Sligo last time, sets a fair standard on the basis of that run. Although well beaten by the eventual winner, he shaped encouragingly, suggesting a weak maiden such as this is within his compass.

SELECTION: MELBURNIAN

Next Best: Morning Sky

2.05 KILLARNEY TOWERS HOTEL MAIDEN HURDLE 2M1F

Marine One has yet to race over hurdles but should be good enough if taking to flights.

A son of Frankel, he took time to reach his full potential on the flat but has done well at Dundalk over the winter. With no stamina issues or concerns about the ground, it really should just be a case of jumping round to win.

Hammerstein was a useful bumper performer last season, including when placed at this track. However, having been pulled up after bursting on his hurdling debut last time he has some questions to answer now.

SELECTION: MARINE ONE

Next Best: Hammerstein

2.40 BETVICTOR MARES HURDLE (LISTED RACE) 2M1F

Elimay had been quietly fancied for the Mares Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but failed to give her running on the day. She was much better at Punchestown last time when easily dismissing a fair field in effortless fashion.

A highly regarded mare, she is better than the usual standard at this time of the year and should have too much class for this opposition.

Pearl Of The West won a handicap hurdle at the aforementioned Punchestown Festival, having struggled in the Scottish Champion Hurdle on her previous start.

While she is a tough, consistent handicapper, it would be something of a surprise if she proved up to taking on the McManus mare now.

SELECTION: ELIMAY

Next Best: Pearl Of The West

3.15 KELLY BROTHERS HANDICAP HURDLE (GRADE B) 2M1F

Lakemilan who won a similar contest here at the August meeting will have been laid out for this race.

Terence O’Brien’s mare made a very pleasing return at Cork last month, traveling well before fading close home.

The trainer appears to have made a wise decision in booking a very capable 7lbs claimer now and the duo can land this decent prize.

Tudor City has been ultra consistent in these graded hurdles over the years and no horse would be a more deserving winner.

However, he is unfortunate in just always seeming to find at least one too strong on the day. Nonetheless, he arrives here with solid prospects of reaching the frame at the very least.

SELECTION: LAKEMILAN

Next Best: Tudor City

3.50 BETVICTOR NOVICE CHASE 2M 6F 180Y

Dinons, a 146 rated hurdler, should be very hard to beat granted a clear ground. A 5-time winner over hurdles last season, he makes his chasing debut at a track where the fences are not too testing.

A horse that is likely to have bigger targets in mind later in the summer, it will be a surprise if he fails this easy assignment.

Tell Me Annie, has won two point-to-points so should have little difficulty jumping these fences. She is also a dual winner under rules, so is not without a chance despite taking on a superior rival.

Her trainer has been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks so a big run can be anticipated.

SELECTION: DINONS

Next Best: Tell Me Annie

4.25 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MARES BEGINNERS CHASE 2M5F

Agusta Gold has been a huge improver over hurdles this season and now gets her first chance over fences. A mare who has run well here in the past, her trainer will almost certainly have had this race in kind for some time.

While the mare will almost certainly need a stiffer test of stamina in time, this looks the ideal spot to get her started.

Undefined Beauty makes her first start for Michael Kennedy but the Kerry man is certain to have her fit and ready.

He would love nothing better than another winner at his local track and it’s encouraging that brother Paddy is in the saddle.

SELECTION: AGUSTA GOLD

Next Best: Undefined Beauty

5.00 KILLARNEY OUTLOOK PUBLICATIONS HANDICAP CHASE 2M5F

Owner Barry Connell likes nothing better than a winner at this meeting, so his representative Cerealice has to be the first port of call. Although still a maiden under all codes, she caught the eye on a couple of occasions over hurdles, suggesting that the ability was there.

It is quite possible that a chasing mark of 102 underestimates her, so she is given the chance to prove that theory correct.

Ballybrowney Walk has been placed three times recently and looks capable of winning a modest contest such as this.

Paul Townend, who has been on board in the past, returns to the saddle, which is surely a statement of intent.

SELECTION: CEREALICE

Next Best: Ballybrowney Walk

5.35 JIM RYAN RACECOURSE SERVICES(PRO/AM) INH FLAT RACE 2M1F

Flash De Touzaine, who is a full brother to a winner in France, can take this for the Liz Doyle stable.

With the form of those that have previous racecourse experience nothing special, the race looks there for the taking and a newcomer can step up. Finny Maguire is always a positive booking when he teams up with the Wexford based handler.

Carnet De Stage finished second on his racecourse debut over hurdles, although there must be a suspicion that there was little depth to the race.

He got no further than the first flight last time out but could be interesting reverting to bumper company.

SELECTION: FLASH DE TOUZAINE

Next Best: Carnet De Stage
