1:45 Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden 5f

No trainer has had more winners in the Foran Equine series than Jessica Harrington this year and she can extend her good record with Mutiny in this opener. The daughter of Sepoy made a highly satisfactory behind the odds-on Lady Penelope at Down Royal and with minimal improvement she should go close.

Believe In Beauty has some good form and was second to the selection’s stablemate For The Trees last time out at Sligo.

Course-and-distance winner Tide Of Time looks as solid as you can look solid in a 23-runner sprint handicap at Navan. He was a comfortable two-length winner at Down Royal three runs ago and has since run a good third to Buffer Zone in a valuable handicap at the Curragh and most recently bumped into the very useful Hathiq at Tipperary.

Tai Sing Yeh has been running consistently well for Johnny Levins and should be on the scene again while Aloysius Lilius could be on a nice mark. He is having his fifth run for Gerard O’Leary and runs here off a mark of 68, 12lbs lower than his peak rating for Kevin Ryan in Britain.

SELECTION: TIDE OF TIME

Blue Uluru and Primo Uomo are two classy course-and-distance winners. The former is interesting, but might just need this on her first start in 373 days. Only Spoofing is another course-and-distance winner and he has been thriving this season for Jedd O’Keeffe. He won three races in succession through July, including a valuable heat at Ascot. You can ignore his previous start as he missed the break and never got a run up the inside rail at Sandown.

Aidan Howard’s Miss Jabeam is another in really good form and she is lightly enough raced that she could easily progress again today.

Jessica Harrington has a strong hand in this with three of the six entries. Stable jockey Shane Foley is on For The Trees, however Punita Arora, ridden by stable apprentice Tom Madden should not be discounted. Both of her starts have come at Navan and she won her maiden over this distance when last seen. In between she was thought good enough to run in a Group 3 at Ascot, where she got upset behind the stalls and had to be withdrawn. Providing she is okay after that experience, she is interesting now off a mark of 94.

Chrysalism should provide the strongest opposition to the Harrington trio. She has a two-length verdict over the aforementioned For The Trees and a 10lb rise may not be enough to halt her progress.

Ozone really caught the eye on his penultimate run at Killarney when staying on through horses late on. On that account, he was well backed for his previous run at the Curragh but never got going when 12th of 24 behind Ultra Pride. He is worth chancing again however, with the step up in trip and return to a sounder surface more likely to suit and he could be under the radar now.

Four Leaf Clover caught the eye in that same Curragh handicap and this well bred daughter of Galileo is of obvious interest in a lowly race like this.

Clifftop was a ready winner at Bellewstown for Harry Rodgers and will be fancied by many to back that win up here off a 10lb higher mark.

However Jim Bolger’s Make Me Sway appears to have got off a bit lightly on her handicap debut.

A mark of 58 could underestimate the daughter of Teofilo, who produced the best of her three runs on her most recent start at Leopardstown where she was beaten less than 10 lengths into fifth by Silk Forest.

Lady Rosebud was a little disappointing at Gowran Park on her previous run but a return to Navan and good ground could suit Pat Martin’s mare. Prior to her latest start she put together four solid efforts where she was beaten no more than a length and a quarter. The other one who caught the eye was Rule The Sea who won nicely for Paddy Harnett and Tracey Collins at Tipperary. That was just his fifth ever start so he is open to further progress now.

SELECTION: LADY ROSEBUD

Accountability is easily the most interesting horse in this concluding maiden. Once of Charlie Appleby, the three-year-old gelding only made one start in Britain before joining Ger Lyons this season and finishing second to Silk Forest at Leopardstown on his second ever start.

He is a son of Dubawi, out of William Haggas’s listed winner and Epsom Oaks fourth Vow, so is very nicely bred and he may be able to deliver on some latest potential now.

Midnight Sunshine is a daughter of Medaglia d’Oro and her trainer Dermot Weld’s Ribblesdale winner Princess Highway. She ran okay when fourth on soft ground for her debut at Killarney and ought to improve from that effort today.
