He might just make all the running here with the recent Galway maiden hurdle runner-up En Or a probable danger, just ahead of the narrow Ballinrobe second Minella Post.

Bells Grove might just come out on top on his handicap debut. He’s done very little wrong so far, showing up well in bumpers before running a big race on his hurdling debut at Listowel at the end of May and then comfortably winning his maiden hurdle, albeit as an odds-on favourite, at Ballinrobe. Hopeful Hero is another consistent performer and has a big chance too on more recent efforts at Down Royal and Kilbeggan. Simple Things goes back into handicap company after her narrow maiden hurdle win at Tramore.

Returning Officer can land this “unplaced” maiden hurdle. He is surely better than he showed at Sligo in mid-July when a most disappointing favourite, dropping tamely away from the third-last hurdle on what was his jumping debut.
There was more potential in his bumper form and he might just bounce back to win at the main expense of Red Acres Georgie who also let her supporters down when falling at Bellewstown at the beginning of July. She appeared to be the subject of quite a gamble that day. Mr Devlin didn’t do too badly at Kilbeggan and could also figure.

Leo Messy ran his best race when taking third spot behind subsequent winner Ina Mina at Cork and might be better again over the extra couple of furlongs here.
There wasn’t much between Pure Logic and Maxicourt at Killarney last month and they have to form to get involved along with Scary Askari who didn’t get the best of runs when a gambled-on favourite at Downpatrick and now starts out for a new trainer.

Bowgate Street has held her form well since winning at Sligo in May, running big races on a couple of occasions at Kilbeggan, notably when third to Chemdawg a little over two weeks ago. Mother Ship clearly has a chance on her recent form too and she drops down in trip for this as does Goin’ who went very close at Bellewstown last time.

Emerald Enigma disappointed when only third to her front-running stable companion Easter Bonnet on her hurdling debut at Cork in early August. Her jumping can only improve and she’s likely to go closer now to adding to bumper wins at Cork and Punchestown.
She is up in trip for this as is Airds Moss who made a pleasing start to his jumping career when fourth at Killarney last month. Mossy Way has plenty of experience but an absence of over five months to overcome after a big effort behind Colcannon at Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday.

Moonlight Paradise was a good winner at Tramore. She looked to have it all to do on the run to the second-last hurdle but picked up remarkably well to win in good style from a well-fancied favourite.
A 5lb rise in the weights is far from harsh and she might be given a chance against Knocknagoran Lady who is the winner of three of her last four starts.
Top-weight Can Happen must be considered too along with Midleton Rare who came back to form with a runner-up finish from well off the pace at Galway recently.

Rocky Alfonso was fourth to the promising Lola O C on his debut at Roscommon early last month and might well be up to this. He was in a challenging position from over two furlongs out, only giving best inside the final furlong, and it helps that the third, fifth and ninth placed horses all won next time. Emergency Man has run two nice races and clearly has his chance while the well-related newcomers El Paraiso and Ellen Imlach can’t be ignored either.
