1.30 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 5f 180yd
Runner-up in a listed race on her debut earlier this month, True Love should be good enough to win.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained filly showed that the decision to start her off in a higher grade was justified, as she kept on nicely to finish second to a smart juvenile. It will be a surprise if she isn’t able to capitalise on this opportunity.
Venetian Star, who made late headway on his debut at the Curragh last month, should be sharper now. Johnny Murtagh’s juveniles have tended to come on for the initial run this season, so better can be expected here.
SELECTION: TRUE LOVE
Next best: Venetian Star

John McConnell’s veteran sprinter Stanhope can step up on last month’s runner-up effort over course and distance. Having gained four previous wins at this track, the 11-year-old can always be relied on to run his race here. With a favourable high draw further adding to confidence, the gelding should take beating.
Fourth in that aforementioned contest, Lismacbryan Hill has since finished third at the Curragh. Another that is potentially well-berthed out wide, the filly has the able assistance of Patrick McGettigan.
SELECTION: STANHOPE
Next best: Lismacbryan Hill

With Colin Keane favouring Lil’ Angel over a stablemate with solid claims, the hint should be taken.
Ger Lyons’ daughter of Dark Angel must be showing all the right signals at home for the champion jockey to overlook the recently placed Mini Mai.
A beaten favourite on his debut at York last May, Commonwealth Cup entrant Seattle is a serious threat. Almost certainly better than that bare form suggests, the Aidan O’Brien-trained colt has to be respected.
SELECTION: LIL’ ANGEL
Next best: Seattle

Top weight The Highway Rat has to be of interest back over the course and distance where he gained his only previous turf win.
Andy Oliver’s gelding ran well on his seasonal debut at the Curragh before disappointing at Naas subsequently. The seven-year-old is worth another chance to prove that he retains ability off a favourable mark.
Only Spoofing won at Musselburgh on his penultimate start, before disappointing when backed up quickly a few days after. Given time to recover, Kevin Coleman’s veteran should be competitive.
SELECTION: THE HIGHWAY RAT
Next best: Only Spoofing
3.50 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Yeats Stakes (Listed) 1m 5f
Recent Leopardstown maiden winner Butterfly Wings can record back-to-back victories. The Aidan O’Brien-trained daughter of Justify is bred to appreciate this step up in trip. Holding entries in both the Epsom and Irish Oaks, she would want to be going close here if those entries are to be taken up in the coming months.
Delta looked a strong stayer when keeping on late to finish runner-up in his maiden last time. Another bred to appreciate a test of stamina, the Joseph O’Brien-trained colt should be very competitive.
SELECTION: BUTTERFLY WINGS
Next best: Delta
4.25 Troytown Bar Handicap 1m 5f
Runner-up on her last two starts, the Gerard O’Leary-trained Makaiah is due a change of fortune. Having suffered an interrupted passage when second at this track on her penultimate start, the four-year-old stayed on late to reach the frame at Sligo last time. Running in a similar grade, the daughter of Bated Breath holds strong claims.
Winner of his last two starts at Wolverhampton, the John McConnell-trained Fine Print holds every chance if able to reproduce that form back on turf. 0-12 to date on grass, the four-year-old has a bit to prove.
SELECTION: MAKAIAH
Next best: Fine Print
5.00 Royal County Handicap (Premier Handicap) 1m 2f 40yd
Light As Air can gain compensation for a luckless passage at Leopardstown on his reappearance. Aidan O’Brien’s Irish Derby entrant was travelling strongly with nowhere to go over a furlong out, before flashing home late to grab second. Granted a clearer run on this occasion, the son of Wootton Bassett can open his account.
Course and distance maiden winner Dakota Blue should be competitive off a mark of 90. Given that he appeared to win with something in hand, it was surprising that the handicapper decided to leave the gelding on an unchanged mark.
SELECTION: LIGHT AS AIR
Next best: Dakota Blue

The thrice-raced colt Scandinavia can register a first win. Placed on his first two starts as a juvenile, the Irish Derby entrant disappointed when sent off favourite at Doncaster in September. Almost certainly better than that latter run suggests, the son of Justify should be winning here if he is to take up that lofty entry later in the summer.
Kilcrea Rock travelled well for a long way before weakening towards the finish at Leopardstown on his return. With the benefit of that outing, the Joseph O’Brien-trained colt should be much sharper now.
SELECTION: SCANDINAVIA
