1.50 Owenstown Stud Stakes (Listed) 7f

Current Option can follow-up his premier handicap success at Galway and his victory in the Listed Platinum Stakes over this trip at Cork earlier in the month. At Cork he had only a half-length to spare over Soul Search but he looks capable of confirming that form. A low draw is a positive for his chances and any further easing in the ground won’t present him with any difficulties as he did win on soft to heavy ground at Galway.

Soul Search should be a threat once more. Prior to chasing home the selection at Cork she showed up well in a Group 3 at that track when filling the runner-up spot behind Valeria Messalina.

Archie Watson’s The Perfect Crown is a fascinating runner having trounced a 90-rated opponent by over seven lengths at Lingfield earlier this month. The concern for him is that he has yet to race on anything other than a synthetic surface.

2.20 Good Luck To Our 20 Lockdown Heroes Handicap 1m 2f

She has already won three handicaps this season and gone up 24lbs in the weights but Wilderness might be able to win again. On her last start she failed by just a neck to bring up a four-timer and she lost absolutely nothing in defeat on that occasion as she was beaten by a highly progressive rival in Elizabethofaragon.

She is preferred to Baby Zeus who has run quite well in three premier handicaps this season. His fourth to Delphi at Navan last month and his third to Red Kelly in the Ulster Derby are two solid efforts which entitle him to the utmost respect.

Lord Park is another interesting contender on the form that saw him take third in a Curragh handicap where Sonnyboyliston defeated Thundering Nights.

SELECTION: WILDERNESS

Next best: Baby Zeus

2.50 Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes 6f

Monaasib is improving with each run and has shown a liking for slow ground which is a notable positive. On his penultimate start he looked a nice type when winning a Curragh maiden with something to spare last month, but the effort that earns him the vote is his assured dismissal of the 99-rated Arctician in a conditions race over an extended six furlongs at Cork last weekend.

Measure Of Magic is major player. She won her maiden on slow ground at Tipperary when she had the subsequent Group 2 winner Aloha Star back in third. She then went on to defeat another future Group 2 winner in Miss Amulet at Down Royal and her latest third to Miss Amulet in a Naas listed race in which Frenetic was second is another commendable effort.

The dual Group 2 second Devious Company sets a formidable standard with a rating of 107 although this represents a rather quick return to the fray following his second to Happy Romance at York on Thursday. The 100-rated State Of Rest is another who should be able to make his presence felt.

SELECTION: MONAASIB

3.20 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Stanerra Stakes (Group 3) 1m 6f

All four runnings of this race have gone to the classic generation and that sequence may continue with Passion who has run a series of honourable efforts in defeat this season without winning. She comes here off a respectable third to Tarnawa in the Group 3 Give Thanks Stakes but her standout performance this season came when she was a close third to Even So in the Irish Oaks.

The step up to this trip should not be a problem for her and she might just be able to see off Kastasa who is looking to make it six wins in this race. This mare signed off for last season with a dominant Group 3 success over two miles at the Curragh and she returned to the fray with a likeable victory over a two-furlong shorter trip at Gowran last month.

Oaks second Ennistymon is another to keep in mind but in two subsequent starts she has yet to match the form she showed when chasing home Love at Epsom.

SELECTION: PASSION

Next best: Kastasa

3.55 Silver Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes 6f

Wood Ranger could run a big race. He only made his debut last weekend when contesting a maiden over an extended six furlongs at Cork and he caught the eye with a good finishing effort that saw him beaten just over three lengths into third by Street Kid. He could progress quite significantly from that initial outing and it wouldn’t come as any surprise to see him run a big race.

Another horse that could show up well is Mulgrave. He was last of five runners in a Curragh maiden on Derby Weekend but actually ran far better than his seven-length fifth behind Merchants Quay would suggest. He has been given plenty of time since then and it wouldn’t surprise if he were to take a big step forward.

State Patrol’s debut third to the subsequent Acomb Stakes winner Gear Up makes him an interesting runner.

SELECTION: WOOD RANGER

Next best: Mulgrave

4.30 Weatherbys GSB Handicap 6f

A chance is taken on Silver Spear. She won a nursery on slow ground last season and made quite an encouraging return to action at the Curragh last month when finishing a close fourth to Not Now Zeb. That was her first run since October so she can surely progress on that form.

She is preferred to Lustown Baba who won the final of the Foran Series here last year and showed signs of returning to her best when chasing home Nullifier in a handicap here several weeks ago. Any easing in the ground will aid her cause. Not Now Zeb is 11lbs higher in the weights as a result of wins at Navan and the Curragh. He warrants every consideration on the basis of his victory in that decent Curragh handicap last month.

SELECTION: SILVER SPEAR

Next best: Lustown Baba

5.00 Heritage Hotel Handicap (45-65) 6f

Doonard Prince is a vastly experienced sort who has been running quite well this season and it wouldn’t come as any surprise if he were to get his turn. He was only ninth at the Curragh last week but was beaten by just over two lengths and he is returning to a track that brings out the best in him. Any ease in the ground will suit and form such as his second to Nordic Passage here in June gives him every chance.

Teddy Boy has been running some solid races in defeat lately and his third to Hell Left Loose here three weeks ago should see him go well as he was entitled to finish closer than he did on that occasion. The returning veteran Enter The Red isn’t one to discount while Rattling Jewel showed signs of returning to form last time.

SELECTION: DOONARD PRINCE
