1.40 Irish EBF Median Sires
Series Fillies Maiden 7f
The Michael O’Callaghan-trained Luna Mia has every chance of making the breakthrough. Just denied on her debut at Listowel in June, the daughter of Ardad has been highly tried on her two most recent starts. Back in maiden company now and, with first time cheekpieces applied, it will be disappointing if she can’t go very close. Having reached the frame on both runs to date, the Johnny Murtagh-trained Elly Bay has to be respected. While a wide draw is without question an inconvenience, she has the experience to overcome that.
SELECTION: LUNA MIA
Next best: Elly Bay

Fillies Maiden 5f 205yd
Dawn Romance can complete an opening race double for trainer Michael O’Callaghan. Runner-up on both starts to date, the Mehmas filly was only narrowly denied at Cork last time.
A reproduction of that latter run would almost certainly be good enough to see her register a first career win.
Well supported when a beaten favourite on her debut at the Curragh, You’ll Think Of Me should be capable of better. Dropping back in trip may not seem the most obvious move for a daughter of Kingman, but given the early speed she showed on her introduction, it could prove a wise decision.
SELECTION: DAWN ROMANCE
Next best: You’ll Think Of Me
2.50 Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden 5f 205yd
Ballyhane Stakes third Unbreakable Duke should be hard to beat. Having finished runner-up in that race, the Diego Dias-trained colt was later demoted a place. With an official rating of 90, the son of Advertise should be well up to winning a race of this nature. It will be disappointing for connections if he doesn’t avail of the opportunity.
The experienced Fresh Fade looks the most likely threat to the selection. A reproduction of his third placing in a Listed race at Tipperary last month would give him obvious claims here.
SELECTION: UNBREAKABLE DUKE
Next best: Fresh Fade
3.25 Tally-Ho Stud Irish EBF
Ballyogan Stakes (Group 3)
(Fillies & Mares) 5f 205yd
A winner over course and distance last month, the William Haggas-trained Sky Majesty can follow up. While this is a slightly stronger contest, the daughter of Blue Point should be well up to the task. Although a higher draw would have been more favourable, jockey Tom Marquand is likely to have the three-year-old out smartly from stalls.
California Dreamer would be a serious threat if proving as effective over this trip. Having raced over further this season, the Adrian Murray-trained filly will need to prove that she still retains the speed she showed as a juvenile.
SELECTION: SKY MAJESTY
Next best: California Dreamer
4.00 Good Guess At Tally-Ho Handicap 5f
Dropping back to the minimum trip can see Lismacbryan record the second win of her career. Fourth over six furlongs here last time, the four-year-old was always to the fore before weakening inside the final furlong. With first-time cheekpieces added, the filly should be very competitive under Dylan Browne McMonagle.
Sligo runner-up Pinmoney should have every chance. Forced to drop out from his wide draw last time, the Danny Murphy-trained gelding stayed on strongly to finish second. Well drawn on this occasion, the three-year-old should be capable of making his presence felt.
SELECTION: LISMACBRYAN
Next best: Pinmoney
4.35 Hartes Group Apprentice Handicap 1m 2f 110yd
Elusive Duke gives the impression that he could still be ahead of the handicapper. Successful at Leopardstown in June, the gelding made up a lot of late ground when fourth at Roscommon on his next start. Although only fifth at Galway last time, the son of Elzaam suffered an interrupted passage, so the form can be upgraded.
Complete Fiction has been hurdling of late, but reverts to the flat off an exploitable mark.
A course and distance winner last year, the Jarlath Fahey-trained eight-year-old has built up a good relationship with Neve Bennett.
SELECTION: ELUSIVE DUKE
Next best: Complete Fiction
5.10 TRM Staysound Cooling Clay Handicap 1m 2f 110yd
Molto Amichi can provide Nicola Burns with another winner. A staying on fifth when sent off favourite over course and distance last time, the gelding had previously been second at Leopardstown. The form of that latter race received a boost when the winner followed up on her next start.
Star Harbour definitely has his chance reverting to the turf. Third in a valuable handicap at Dundalk last time, the Ado McGuinness-trained gelding is a far better horse on grass.
SELECTION: MOLTO AMICHI
Next best: Star Harbour
