1.30 NAAS RUGBY CLUB MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Fast Buck is hard to oppose. He was a useful sort on the flat in France and, on his jumping debut, showed up well on his first outing since October 2017 when he chased home Fakir D’Oudairies in a maiden hurdle at Cork in early January. The last-named has since bolted up in a quality juvenile hurdle at Cheltenham to give the form a good look, and there is surely more to come from Fast Buck.

He is chosen ahead of All For Joy who has filled the runner-up spot in six of his seven outings and was beaten 1l by Advantage Point over this course and distance a fortnight ago. The consistent Momus looks the pick of the remainder.

Selection: FAST BUCK

2.00 PROFILE SYSTEMS SUPPORTING NAAS RFC HANDICAP HURDLE 2M

On his first start against his elders here a fortnight ago Coral Blue ran a fine race to be beaten just a nose by Eviscerating. The son of Big Bad Bob now switches back to his own age group and is likely to take plenty of beating despite being 4lbs higher in the weights.

He is preferred to the top-weight Lignou whose penultimate run saw him finish a good fourth in the Punchestown maiden won by Gardens Of Babylon. If Lignou could return to that form he would probably be the one to beat.

Selection: CORAL BLUE

Next best: Lignou

2.30 PADDY POWER 6TH BET FREE NOVICE HANDICAP CHASE (GRADE B) 2M 4F

Kildorrery, whose rider claims a useful 7lbs, can shrug off the burden of joint top-weight. The selection comes here off two decent runs in high class 2m handicap chases and the pick of those runs is probably his fourth to Duca De Thaix in last month’s Dan Moore Chase where he was beaten just over 9l. The longer trip shouldn’t be a problem as he has been placed over 2m 4f already this season and he won over 2m 3f as a hurdler.

Furthermore, his beginner’s chase victory over Duca De Thaix entitles him to land a good prize. He is put forward ahead of the recent course and distance winner Poker Party who won well from Stowaway Forever here last month and should be competitive despite being 9lbs higher in the weights.

Selection: KILDORRERY

Next best: Poker Party

3.00 PADDY POWER ONSIDE APP NOVICE HURDLE (GRADE 2) 2M

He met with defeat last time but Chosen Mate still ran a pleasing race to be beaten 3/4l by the smart mare Sinoria at Punchestown two weeks ago. The ex point-to-pointer was making just his second appearance on the track that day, having previously won well at Fairyhouse, and he is still open to plenty of improvement.

He probably learnt more last time than when winning his maiden. That experience can enable him to overcome the experienced Jetez who was well held in a good handicap hurdle at Leopardstown last time but would warrant the utmost respect on his previous second to Felix Desjy at Punchestown. Milan Native is an interesting runner as he looked a nice prospect when scoring at Navan last week.

Selection: CHOSEN MATE

Next best: Jetez

3.35 WHATODDSPADDY? CHASE (GRADE 3) 2M

Cadmium looks a solid proposition as he looks to add this race to the Grade 3 success he recorded earlier in the season at Punchestown. He has run well over longer trips lately, as evidenced by his good fourth to Delta Work and Le Richebourg in December’s Drinmore Chase, but he is also quite at home over 2m so the return to the minimum distance is of no concern.

He is preferred to last year’s winner Doctor Phoenix who didn’t run too badly in the Leopardstown Chase last time and will find this race easier than some of those that he has contested this season. Doctor Phoenix probably wants softer ground to be at his best though.

Selection: CADMIUM

Next best: Doctor Phoenix

4.05 PADDY REWARDS CLUB HANDICAP HURDLE (80-116) 2M

A chance is taken on Ming Dynasty who has been let down by his finishing effort on a number of his recent outings. On several occasions he has travelled notably well only to fade late on but he is worth another chance as he clearly has the ability to make his mark at this level. A return to the form that saw him chase home Clementina at Fairyhouse a couple of months ago would see him play a leading role.

He is preferred to Curious Times who turned in a nice effort to defeat the subsequent winner Black Tears at Down Royal last month. He has also shown up well behind several talented types and appeals as one that can do better still over hurdles.

Selection: MING DYNASTY

Next best: Curious Times

4.35 NAAS RUGBY CLUB HANDICAP CHASE 3M 1F

Mon Lino is hard to look past as he switches back to fences. He has struggled since going chasing and has dropped 4lbs for two unplaced handicap runs but he comes here off a superb effort over hurdles at Leopardstown three weeks ago when he was beaten less than 3l into fourth in a quality 3m handicap won by Dallas Des Pictons. If he can replicate that form back over fences he will surely prevail.

His biggest danger could come from Kayf Thou who followed his surprise win with a third back at that track last week in an amateur rider’s handicap chase. This lightly raced eight-year-old should appreciate moving back beyond 3m.

Selection: MON LINO

Next best: Kayf Thou

5.05 PADDY POWER HORSEBOT (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M

Midnight Run sets a good standard. He won like a nice type at Galway in October and he followed that with an excellent second to Envoi Allen at Navan a couple of months ago, beaten by 4¾l. There is surely more to come from this son of Well Chosen who can deal with Column Of Fire.

That one was a stylish winner of a Navan bumper earlier in the season and now switches back to the level following a couple of runs over hurdles which included a third to Lone Wolf in a Fairyhouse maiden in early December.

Selection: MIDNIGHT RUN

Next best: Column Of Fire
