Carry The Flag made a pleasing debut at the Curragh three weeks ago, finishing a length and a quarter behind a smart prospect. Aidan O’Brien’s colt should come on from that experience, while market support will be informative regarding stablemate Sun Goddess, by precocious sire Sioux Nation.
Woodlawn Lily should also improve from last month’s debut at Cork, where she raced keenly and is hoped to settle better today. Her action on the soft going also suggested she might appreciate this drier ground.
SELECTION: CARRY THE FLAG
Next Best: Woodlawn Lily

Stone Bear won in good style last time out, scoring by a length and three-quarters under hands and heels, and the third horse’s subsequent win boosts form. The Kodi Bear filly didn’t show much when tried on turf last summer, but looks a better horse now.
With the benefit of two runs this season, Mint Man could be worth supporting as he returns to a winning mark - he won or placed on six occasions off a similar mark last season.
Poweracclaim, who finished fourth on his first start back last month, is expected to go closer with a better start today. Eichan San ran a promising race last time out, but might find this trip a bit sharp.
SELECTION: STONE BEAR
Next Best: Mint Man

Confucius is the obvious choice after the 1,700,000gns yearling was beaten a nose first time out and the son of No Nay Never is sure to take a step forward today, especially on this better surface.
Bull Shark has the most experience, with two thirds to his name, but was beaten over seven lengths last time and is expected to find one or two too good again today, especially with the number of well-related and expensive newcomers entered.
Moyglare home-bred Luca Brillante, 150,000gns purchase Selwyn and 95,000gns yearling Alaskan Bear all warrant a market check
SELECTION: CONFUCIUS
Next Best: Selwyn

Bint Majestic Roi received 12lb for her Curragh win and, while it’s a huge hike, the Slatterys’ 6,000gns buy appeared to have something in hand.
The second subsequently filled the same place behind Genesis, who got 5lb for his win. He raced keenly that day - his first start of the season - and should take a step forward today.
Collective Power is another to consider, with Ben Coen’s mount having gone close last time out, just a head behind I Bid You Ajou, without a 7lb claimer.
SELECTION: BINT MAJESTIC ROI
Next Best: Genesis
3.45 Declan Landy Fencing Handicap (Premier Handicap) 5f 205yd
Real Encounter could be well-treated back on turf following three runs at Dundalk, most recently winning a five-furlong maiden by two and a half lengths.
He finished fourth on his sole run on grass, beaten two and a half lengths by Albany Stakes fifth Fairy Oak, while the second and third later earned ratings of 89 and 90.
Chicago Pope and Michael’s Well also appeal - the latter could be better value due to his disappointing comeback and remains unexposed.
SELECTION: REAL ENCOUNTER
Next Best: Michael’s Well

Cromac Quay outran odds of 33/1 in a hot Leopardstown maiden on debut, finishing third to a pair of group-placed fillies, with the runner-up subsequently landing the Salsabil Stakes.
The flashy chesnut should be hard to beat, but a number of newcomers are bred to be talented, including Feel Happy, Haroussa and Hydream.
Hinder, a half-sister to Babouche, was well-supported when fifth on debut and is expected to take a step forward today. The same applies to debut fourth Flower Forest.
SELECTION: CROMAC QUAY
Next Best: Flower Forest
4.57 Darley Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial Stakes (Listed) 1m 2f 84yd
Eretria and Mixed Feelings won Leopardstown maidens by similarly impressive margins, but neither race boasts particularly strong form just yet. Preference is for the former, due to the Camelot filly winning over 10 furlongs.
Her debut second also appeals, having gone close behind the subsequent Salsabil Stakes second.
Wayne Lordan has opted to ride Ice Dancer, but stablemate River Ara could produce an improved effort up in trip, based on pedigree, and is worth a place on the shortlist.
SELECTION: ERETRIA
Next Best: River Ara

Pierre Grosse entered the notebook on his three-year-old return and first start over this trip at Leopardstown. He likely tired close home, eventually finishing third to the smart Cape Cod.
Galileo Noir’s recent Curragh maiden win also boasts strong form, with the second and third since winning. However, this trip is a slight concern, given that his dam was a sprinter.
Golddream, meanwhile, is making a step up in trip, which the son of The Great Gatsby is bred to appreciate, and is worth considering.
SELECTION: PIERRE GROSSE
Next Best: Galileo Noir
