Paddy Twomey and Robson de Aguiar’s newcomers are always worth following and both Concorde Landed and Fly Smartly are six-figure purchases by sires known for their two-year-olds.
It’s worth noting that Twomey’s filly came from the breeze-ups, so shouldn’t lack fitness or experience, but it’s also interesting that Fly Smartly is the result of a major upgrade for her dam, a half-sister to Smash Williams.
Her stablemate Shi Yang was sent off favourite on debut and ran green before tiring into fifth. She’s worth another chance.
Snowing filled the same position, finishing three and three-quarter lengths behind runner-up Green Empress, who subsequently finished second in the Airlie Stud Stakes. The well-related No Nay Never filly is expected to improve, particularly over this shorter trip.
Six-figure yearlings My Irish Lady and Southern Boulevard are also worth a market check.

Keke had a run under his belt when beating Howd’yadoit by three lengths here in April, and while the latter comes here fit now, the weights go against him. It’s a big ask on a three-year-old to carry topweight against more experienced sprinters and he also has to bounce back from a disappointing run last time.
Likedbymike has run well on three starts over course and distance, most recently finishing fourth and second in listed sprints won by Mission Central, who won the King Charles II Stakes since.
However, this may come too soon after the four-year-old filly finished mid-division in the Rockingham Handicap on Sunday.
That said, the runner-up spot looks an open race, with Keke earning the most positives for a win.

Provided Carry The Flag is none the worse for his trip to Ascot, the beaten Norfolk Stakes favourite looks the pick on his earlier form.
That was his first start on good to firm ground, having previously finished second in the Marble Hill Stakes won by Great Barrier Reef, who later made it three-from-three in the Coventry Stakes.
This drop back in trip shouldn’t be a problem, as he won his maiden over course and distance, with Sun Goddess and Abletai deadheating for second.
That form gives Abletai a strong chance, given that he made all of the running and was only headed close home, with the front trio rallying seven lengths clear of the remainder.
Big Negotiator’s first two starts read well; first a place in front of recent Group 3 winner Ballinea Star, before finishing second to a filly who subsequently placed in a Group 2. However, the York novice stakes she won doesn’t boast such strong form and she was outclassed at Royal Ascot just five days later.
SELECTION: CARRY THE FLAG
Next best: Abletai

Arctic Steps is 4lb higher than her course-and-distance win two starts ago and looks capable of defying that rise back on turf after the second and third horses won themselves.
The runner-up that day was Nouvel Espoir, who is now much better off due to ratings and his rider’s claim, but his rider’s inexperience is also worth taking into account.
Bold Optimist has dropped down to a nice weight and is twice a winner over the minimum trip but may need the run on his first start since March.
SELECTION: ARCTIC STEPS

There was a lot to like about Florida Bay’s performance at Fairyhouse last month, as the pricey purchase dug deep to win, with the first two finishing clear of a subsequent winner in third.
One Number is held in high enough regard by connections to be sent off 8/1 for the Windsor Castle Stakes off the back of a promising debut second at the Curragh. Dylan Browne McMonagle’s selection disappointed at Ascot, but his first run suggests he’ll appreciate this step up in trip.
The remainder have been less inspiring, which explains the presence of some newcomers. Blue Point filly Sarah’s Choice, who cost €100,000 at the breeze-ups, has the most appealing profile.
SELECTION: FLORIDA BAY

Mai Dahlia was a beaten even-money favourite last time out over 10 furlongs, but in fairness to her, the winner had a decent advantage before the turn-in and was not for stopping, setting up a challenging task for the runner-up.
This drop back in trip should work in the Too Darn Hot filly’s favour today, as she finished a close third on debut over course and distance.
A well-related Aga Khan homebred finished a place in front of her that day, and the Night Of Thunder filly Sibaza has a similarly promising pedigree.
Bofa Beach disappointed on two of her four starts, but one was the Goffs Million on soft ground, and she probably didn’t stay the trip last time. Her other two runs give her a good chance over this trip.
SELECTION: MAI DAHLIA

Nephin Mountain did his best work close home over nine furlongs at Leopardstown last time out, when he appeared to appreciate the firmer surface. He didn’t get the clearest run at a vital stage that day and could go closer if things go his way here.
Point Cartwright also produced an improved effort last time out, finishing second on his first attempt over this trip at Limerick. That was his second start in a handicap and given the way he’s progressing, he looks capable of winning a race of this nature.
Rodeo Blues comes here off the back of her first win but she will find it tough to follow up under a 12lb hike.
SELECTION: NEPHIN MOUNTAIN

Suzie Songs raced far too keenly on her seasonal return, which showed when she faded some way out.
The Anglesey Stakes winner is the highest-rated of the field for a reason and if she puts it all together with a first-time tongue-tie today, she should outclass her rivals, including stablemate Ocean’s Breath, who went up 8lb for his three-length win at Fairyhouse last time out.
LL Koulsty’s win in May has been boosted by two subsequent winners, most notably the fifth horse Gleneagle Bay landing a premier handicap.
The fact this three-year-old’s best form is on softened ground is a concern today, though.
Frescobaldi, bought for 100,000gns from Coolmore, is an intriguing prospect on his first start since being gelded. Yaupon De Replay has a chance if back to her best.
