12.15 JET O’CARROLL MEMORIAL MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Elusive Ivy could be the one to side with. The Thurles bumper winner has previous jumping experience and finished fourth to Voices Of Spring in a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in April. She didn’t match that form on her return from a break at Ballinrobe but did much better in a Wexford bumper last time when chasing home Kalopsia. Catcheragain could be her biggest danger after a creditable 1½l second to Flaviana in a Down Royal maiden last month.

Selection: ELUSIVE IVY

Next best: Catcheragain

12.45 BRANDON HOTEL MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

A rating of 126 and some smart efforts last season earn Uncle Danny the vote. A bumper winner at the Punchestown Festival in 2014, he was a good third to Free Expression in a decent maiden at Naas last November and a useful fourth to Gladiator King in a Leopardstown maiden in January. He does have a 238-day absence to overcome but he still gets the vote ahead of Fill Your Hands. The latter was second to Rocky Court in a Bellewstown maiden last month while his other form includes a runner-up finish behind Princely Conn at Punchestown in October.

Selection: UNCLE DANNY

Next best: Fill Your Hands

1.15 LISTOWEL RACES SUPPORTERS CLUB LARTIGUE HURDLE (HANDICAP) (GRADE C) 2M

Tigris River has top weight but still appeals as he goes in search of a hat-trick. He beat Zafayan (only 5lb better off) by 8½l in a Galway maiden last month and followed up with an assured 1¼l victory over Moonmeister in a conditions event at Cork several weeks ago. He could do better still over timber and he is chosen ahead of Golden Spear who is quite interesting. On his only jumping outing in this country he ran with credit to finish sixth to Bog War in a competitive Punchestown Festival handicap hurdle. Since then he has has a couple of runner-up finishes in premier handicaps over 1m 4f on the flat. The unexposed Copy That is very interesting on the third run of his career.

Selection: TIGRIS RIVER

Next best: Golden Spear

1.45 MARTINSTOWN OPPORTUNITY HANDICAP HURDLE (80-109) 2M

He comes here in much better heart than most of his rivals and Just Call Me is chosen to strike again. The High Chaparral gelding won off a 9lb lower mark at Cork in July and he chased home Phil The Flyer back at that track three weeks ago. Most Honourable has won two of his last three outings. He won at Tramore last month and then got home by a short head at Clonmel recently. He has gone up 11lb in the weights for those triumphs but should still be very competitive.

Selection: JUST CALL ME

Next best: Most Honourable

2.15 JOHN F. MAGUIRE NOVICE CHASE 2M 4F

Rock The World has quickly developed into a smart novice chaser over the summer months and he can notch up his third triumph over the larger obstacles even though he would prefer quicker ground. The seven-year-old comes here off a brave effort over 2m 2f at Galway last week where he battled back well to defeat The Game Changer and the manner in which he finished out his race there would suggest that this trip is within his reach. Ravished didn’t make an impression in Wednesday’s Kerry National but he did win three handicaps on the spin earlier in the year which culminated in a Midlands National victory. He will be very dangerous if bouncing back to form.

Selection: ROCK THE WORLD

Next best: Ravished

2.45 FEALE HILL HANDICAP CHASE 2M 4F

A tricky contest where Curragh Golan might be the one to side with. He won at Wexford earlier in the season and has since held his form reasonably well. He chased home Old Supporter in a Killarney handicap last time and didn’t run at all badly at Galway last week when beaten less than 6l into fifth in a handicap won by Abarta. Wrong Turn is quite a useful handicapper at his best. He hasn’t run since pulling up in the Troytown and Paddy Power Chases last season but this represents quite a drop in class and he wouldn’t need to be at his best to play a leading role.

Selection: CURRAGH GOLAN

Next best: Wrong Turn

3.15 KERRY PETROLEUM FLAT RACE 2M

Chain Gang can conclude an industrious meeting for his connections. He hasn’t run since making his debut in a Punchestown bumper February, finishing a 15l second to the impressive Disko. The winner didn’t let the form down as he was a good second in a Grade 1 bumper back at that track at the end of the season and Chain Gang may not need to improve on that form to succeed. Bobo Mac wasn’t seen at his best at Killarney in May but his previous fourth to Timing’severything in a Punchestown Festival bumper was a good effort. He looks a lively threat.
