2.20 BOOK ONLINE AT WWW.LIMERICKRACES.IE FILLIES MEDIAN AUCTION MAIDEN 7F

Dandys Gold gets the vote following a good run here last week. The 73-rated filly ended last season with a couple of placed efforts in Gowran nurseries and on her return over this course and distance eight days ago she was beaten just ½l by Mollie The Moo.

Lady Tipperary hasn’t run for almost a year but she showed promise on her only run last season when fourth to Lundy in a 6f Leopardstown maiden. Camiyra is another strong candidate but she has several lengths to make up on Dandys Gold from their meeting eight days previously.

Selection: DANDYS GOLD

Next Best: Lady Tipperary

This could see Little Clarinet take advantage of an attractive mark. She progressed from her debut to win a near 6f maiden at Navan in September when she had a number of subsequent winners behind her. On her final start of the season she acquitted herself at a higher grade to finish a 6l fourth to Noivado in a Naas conditions race.

Lady Rosebud has won twice at Dundalk this year and she shaped up nicely when switching back to the turf at Leopardstown to be beaten just 2½l into fifth in quite a decent three-year-old handicap. These could be the two to focus on.

Selection: LITTLE CLARINET

Next Best: Lady Rosebud

3.20 FAMILY DUN DAY MAY 21ST HANDICAP 7F

January Morn caught the eye at Navan last Sunday when she was beaten less than ½l into fourth in a sprint handicap won by Ken’s Sam’s. That was her first outing of the year so she could easily do better this time and her pedigree suggests this longer trip won’t be a problem. Guanabara Bay finished ½l behind January Morn at Navan and the step up in trip should suit him.

He has struggled to find his form after winning at Dundalk earlier in the year but last weekend was a step in the right direction. The reliable Club Wexford must have every chance following a close third at Navan on Monday.

Selection: JANUARY MORN

Next Best: Guanabara Bay

This could go to Rock In Peace who notched up two wins at Dundalk in January before posting his best effort to date in finishing a 1¼l second to Visionary in a 7f conditions race there. The 94-rated Visionary has since run well in defeat which gives the form of that last run a very solid look. Art Nouvelle looked a nice prospect when winning her second start at the Curragh last September.

She was beaten less than 3l in a decent three-year-old handicap on her return at Leopardstown several weeks ago and can be relied upon to progress. Alfredo Arcano is a decent sort but might just be better over shorter.

Selection: ROCK IN PEACE

Next Best: Art Nouvelle

San Remo might be able to account for his elders. In three runs last season he showed a reasonable level of form and he then made a winning return to the fray at Dundalk recently when landing a three-year-old handicap over an extended 1m 2f. He is now only 2lbs higher, the quick ground will suit him well and the longer trip of this race should also work in his favour.

He is preferred to Bay Hill who has won four of his 12 starts on the flat, the most recent of which saw him edge out Carta Blanca in a 1m 3f handicap here last week. He is just 3lbs higher as a result of that victory.

Selection: SAN REMO

Next Best: Bay Hill

4.50 MICHAEL ENGLISH PLAYS LIVE AT LIMERICK RACECOURSE JULY 27th HANDICAP 1M 3F 70YDS

This could go to Epitaph who turned in a fine effort in defeat over this course and distance last weekend when he was only just denied by Tilly’s Chilli. Prior to that, he shaped up better than the final result would suggest when seventh to Steelyeyed in a Leopardstown handicap. He looks good enough to make his mark at this grade.

Hyperdrive comes here off a head second to Steelyeyed in that Leopardstown contest. He is now 6lbs higher but should still be closely involved.

Selection: EPITAPH

Next Best: Steelyeyed

5.20 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MAIDEN 1M 3F 70YDS

Homesman makes a quick return to action following his fourth to Chronicles in a 1m 2f maiden at Navan on Monday evening. He was beaten just 2l that day but is probably capable of better on the evidence of his debut outing last season when he put in some good late work to chase home his subsequent stakes-winning stablemate War Secretary.

Mauricio began his career with a satisfactory display in a 1m 2f Dundalk maiden where he finished a 5½l second to the Group 2 runner-up The Anvil. That run gives Mauricio an edge over Modern Approach who had to settle for fourth in that same Dundalk contest.

Selection: HOMESMAN

Next Best: Mauricio
