Tipperary bumper winner Chosen Comrade can make a winning debut over hurdles. Successful on her sole point-to-point run, the Peter Fahey-trained four-year-old made the perfect start to her career under rules when making most to land that initial success. The Walk In The Park filly has every chance of maintaining her unbeaten record.
Gowran Park listed bumper winner Aruntothequeen needs to improve on what she has shown over hurdles to date. However, the Jessica Harrington-trained six-year-old would be a serious threat if stepping up on this third start.
SELECTION: CHOSEN COMRADE
Next best: Aruntothequeen

The Eric McNamara-trained Torps has shown enough in three starts over hurdles to suggest he can go close. Third on his seasonal debut at Listowel last month, the five-year-old should be all the better for that first outing since December. Locally trained, the son of Mahler is likely to have had this race as a target.
Point-to-point winner Walks In June has to be of definite interest on his hurdling debut. Third on his introduction in a decent bumper at Christmas, the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding may have found the ground too testing when well beaten on his only subsequent run.
SELECTION: TORPS
Next best: Walks In June

Handicap debutant Welluknow can land this for trainer Mark Molloy. Having shown definite promise on all three maiden runs, the six-year-old Ol’ Man River gelding looks fairly treated off an initial mark of 104. Third at Navan on his latest start, the gelding is entitled to have come on from that first run since April.
The hat-trick seeking Tir Og has to be respected. Having opened her account at Sligo in August, the four-year-old made all to easily follow that win up at Downpatrick last month. Despite now being a further 9lb higher, the filly gives the impression that she could still be ahead of the handicapper, having started from a low base.
SELECTION: WELLUKNOW
Next best: Tir Og

McNamara Series (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle 3m
Provided he is ready on his first run since March, Nephin Beg can win for trainer Philip Rothwell. Making his stable debut when second over fences at Leopardstown on that occasion, the seven-year-old reverts to hurdles now. A winner of a 6lb-higher mark in the past, the seven-year-old appears to hold leading claims.
The Henry de Bromhead-trained Kir has to be of interest on handicap debut. Still in with every chance when falling at the last fence on his sole point-to-point start, the gelding shaped with definite promise in his maiden hurdles.
SELECTION: NEPHIN BEG
Next best: Kir

McNamara Munster National Handicap Chase 3m
Weveallbeencaught can provide local trainer Eric McNamara with back-to-back wins in this race. A son of Getaway, the gelding shaped with plenty of promise on his recent stable debut when fourth at Listowel. Staying on strongly in the closing stages of that race, the eight-year-old should be ideally suited to an additional two furlongs here.
Winner of his last three outings, the Gordon Elliott-trained Boston Rover has strong claims. Despite being raised 9lb for his latest success at Gowran Park, the gelding travels strongly into his races and only just does enough.
SELECTION: WEVEALLBEENCAUGHT
Next best: Boston Rover

Off the track since finishing second at Tipperary in May, One Last Tango can make a winning return. Thrice successful over hurdles, the Eoin Griffin-trained gelding has yet to open his account since sent chasing. However, the son of Ocovango is rated 8lb lower under this code and appeared to be getting the hang of things when last seen.
Listowel winner El Champo drops in trip, but would have leading claims if coping with the shorter distance. Raised 4lb for that win, the gelding only has to carry 2lb more here as the excellent Michael Kenneally takes the ride.
SELECTION: ONE LAST TANGO
Next best: El Champo

A Grade 3 winner over hurdles on her stable debut for Henry de Bromhead, July Flower can also make an immediate impact on her first start over fences. Subsequently fifth in Grade 1 races at the Cheltenham and Punchestown festivals, the six-year-old daughter of Pastorious is an exciting recruit to the chasing ranks this season.
A stablemate of the selection, Tareze rates the biggest danger. A listed winner over hurdles at Navan in February, the Kayf Tara mare fell on her next start, before finishing the campaign with a highly creditable fourth in Grade 1 class at Fairyhouse over Easter.
SELECTION: JULY FLOWER
