1.00 Bluegrass Horse Feed Novice Hurdle (Listed) 2m 5f
Commandingpresence may lack the hurdling experience of a few of his rivals but looks the one to beat judged on his debut effort. The son of Kalanisi made short work of disposing of some nice types in a maiden hurdle at Punchestown, giving the distinct impression that he had more to offer.
Slige Dala is unbeaten in three starts this year so has to be given serious consideration. A dual bumper winner, he only just scrambled home on his hurdling debut at Listowel but showed great heart in doing so.
SELECTION: COMMANDINGPRESENCE
Next best: Slige Dala
1.30 Patrickswell Maiden Hurdle 2m
Double Jemmy, who shaped well when second in a similar race when last seen back in March, could be the answer if ready on his return. A useful sort on the flat for his previous trainer, he ran well on his hurdling debut before improving to take second place on his most recent outing. There has to be a slight worry that connections may have one eye on a handicap mark, but it may be worth taking a chance.
Frontal Assault had decent bumper form last season but has yet to race over hurdles. He appears to have been found a weak enough race for his jumping debut so it would be no surprise to see him play a leading role.
SELECTION: DOUBLE JEMMY

2.00 Irish Racing Wall Calendar 2021 Mares Handicap Hurdle 2m
Bridge Native has been mixing it between hurdling and chasing this summer, winning under both codes. After a solid run over fences at Galway last time she now has a mark of 122, compared to a hurdles rating of 116. A mare in form is always worth following and she appears to have something up her sleeve back over flights.
Annie Pender made all the running to win at Listowel recently and remains a relatively lightly raced mare. Due to run on the flat here on Saturday, she would be a danger to all if connections skip that race and head for this contest instead.
SELECTION: BRIDGE NATIVE
Next best: Annie Pender
2.30 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Cailin Alainn Mares Hurdle (Listed Race) 2m 6f 100yds
My Sister Sarah looks well treated by these race conditions. A decent handicap hurdler last winter, she has had a couple of runs on the flat recently so should be approaching her peak. With both trip and ground very much in her favour, she can become the latest in a long line of mares from her stable to win a mares’ listed race.
Felicidad is the unknown quantity in the line-up. Formerly trained in Britain by Nick Williams, she made a winning debut in this country when successful at Listowel last month. On overall form, she will have to improve again to be involved now but that is certainly a possibility.
SELECTION: MY SISTER SARAH
Next best: Felicidad
3.00 David Fitzgerald Memorial Handicap Hurdle 3m
Balinaboola Steel has won three times since joining Shark Hanlon in June but he may yet have more to give. Relatively lightly raced despite his age, he appears to have taken on a new lease of life in recent months, so in a race where most of the opposition arrive in poor form, he is taken to make it four for the campaign.
Agent Boru has often flattered to deceive as a win record of one from 27 indicates. However, he undoubtedly has ability and showed enough on his recent return to suggest he can play a part now.
SELECTION: BALINABOOLA STEEL

3.30 Limerick Rated Chase 2m 3f 100yds
Go Another One can resume winning ways here having had his run halted at Ballinrobe.
An admirable sort who has won 11 times, he seldom lets his supporters down. The conditions of this rated race look ideal here as he is well in once taking his rider’s claim into consideration.
A smaller field will also play to his strengths as he is likely to race prominently.
Dallas Des Pictons made a winning seasonal debut last year so can be expected to strip fit here. Although yet to replicate his decent hurdles form over fences, he has only had six starts over the larger obstacles so remains open to further progress.
SELECTION: GO ANOTHER ONE
Next best: Dallas Des Pictons
4.00 JT McNamara Ladbrokes Munster National Handicap Chase (Grade A) 3m
Moyhenna can gain deserved compensation here after just getting touched off in the Kerry National. Denis Hogan’s mare has run well at this track in the past and although yet to win over 3m all the indications are that it will prove no issue. She wasn’t stopping last time, if anything the post just came too soon for her.
Internal Transfer was well fancied for the Kerry National but fell early on. Eric McNamara has a fantastic record in the Listowel feature but no doubt he would love to win a Munster National on home turf.
Provided he puts in a clear round on this occasion then Internal Transfer could have local punters smiling.
SELECTION: MOYHENNA
Next best: Internal Transfer
4.30 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase 2m 6f
Run Wild Fred won a Grade 3 novice hurdle when last seen back in February. Perhaps it is significant that connections have pitched him straight over fences after just the four runs over flights. He will need to have schooled well to make a winning chase debut against some useful sorts.
Ministerforsport has been disappointing of late, being pulled up on his two most recent starts. However, he may well improve for the switch back to chasing on a track he has won at in the past. On his day he is a very useful horse so shouldn’t be ignored despite his uninspiring form figures.
SELECTION: RUN WILD FRED
