1.55 JACKIE CHAN ALLSTARS PLAY LIVE AT LIMERICK RACECOURSE JUNE 17TH MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Go Another One was a decent type in bumpers and he has been found a good opportunity to get off the mark over hurdles. This gelding won bumpers at Market Rasen and Killarney last summer and he returned to the fray with a creditable fourth to Fayonagh in the champion bumper at Punchestown last month. He is preferred to Knockmaole Boy. The latter hasn’t been able to build on a good second to Bleu Berry at Fairyhouse in February but should be able to win a maiden this summer. The Roscommon bumper winner Mr Showtime is another to keep in mind.

Selection: GO ANOTHER ONE

Next best: Knockmaole Boy

This could fall to Khalessi whose form over hurdles would suggest that she can make her mark in a race of this nature. The Clonmel bumper winner returned with a 4l third to Special Diamond in a maiden hurdle at Cork earlier this month. Encouragingly the fourth from that race has won since and the step-up in trip will suit this daughter of Milan. She could have most to fear from the Punchestown bumper winner Fintara who has performed to a solid standard on her three outings over hurdles. On her most recent start was fourth to Political Theatre at Ballinrobe.

Selection: KHALESSI

Next best: Fintara

3.00 MICHAEL ENGLISH PLAYS LIVE AT LIMERICK RACECOURSE JULY 27TH HANDICAP HURDLE 3M

Leader’s Choice has yet to win a race but her second to Jump For Dough at Cork earlier this month indicated that her turn may not be far away. She picked up a 3lbs rise in the weights for that but the form has been boosted by the third-placed Nobody Home who went on to win at Punchestown on Wednesday evening. Nobody Home should again mount a strong challenge but he is a couple of pounds worse off with Leader’s Choice for a 3¼l beating. Tristram Shandy is looking for his third win from his last four starts and he comes here off a recent triumph in a 3m handicap at Cork.

Selection: LEADER’S CHOICE

Next best: Nobody Home

3.35 LIAM HOGAN MEMORIAL BEGINNERS CHASE 2M 3F 110YDS

He was unable to justify favouritism at Ballinrobe earlier this month but Black Warrior is worth another chance.

This gelding progressed into quite a useful sort over hurdles last season and he was rated 133 when he last ran over timber in November. On his first outing since then he was beaten by Rocky Court in a Ballinrobe beginners’ event but he was entitled to need the run and the 2m trip was too sharp. Tesseract was shaping up to be quite a decent novice hurdler last summer but he hasn’t run since scoring at Killarney in July. He could need this first run after 312 days. Everyday Everyhour looks a reasonable recruit to chasing but his form over hurdles isn’t just as strong as that of his two main rivals.

Selection: BLACK WARRIOR

Next best: Tesseract

Listen Dear could shade the verdict ahead of her stablemate Westerner Lady. Preference is for Paul Townend’s mount whose last win came in a Grade 3 event in December.

Last time out she acquitted herself well in top company at Punchestown when she was beaten almost 19l into fourth by Great Field. She will have to prove her stamina over this trip but that will not be an issue for Westerner Lady who has already won two Grade 3s and a Grade 2 over fences.

She will need to jump better than she did at Fairyhouse last month where she fell at the third last.

Selection: LISTEN DEAR

Next best: Westerner Lady

A speculative vote goes to Floral Fantasy who could mirror the improvement that she made over hurdles last summer. This mare progressed into quite a reasonable handicap hurdler and should be able to improve on her chasing efforts.

Last time she was making her handicap debut and the trip was possibly on the sharp side for her, while the form of her previous fifth to Knockraha Pylon at Thurles is perhaps better than it looked at the time.

She may just have the measure of Rufino who landed a handicap chase at Tramore last month. He is 7lbs higher but it is encouraging to note that the second and third have both run well in defeat since then.

Not For You is respected following a solid run at Killarney last week.

Selection: FLORAL FANTASY

Next best: Rufino

Minella Beau progressed on the considerable promise of his two point-to-point outings in late 2015 by winning a Cork bumper on his racecourse debut last month. That was over 2m 3f and he has to contend with a shorter trip today but he is still the one to side with. He shouldn’t have any trouble with the better ground and he holds a good edge over Gagas Horse from their meeting at Cork.

Billy’s Angel followed a good run at Tramore with a victory in a Ballinrobe bumper several weeks ago and he can provide the sternest opposition to Minella Beau.

Selection: MINELLA BEAU
