1:25 FORAN EQUINE IRISH EBF AUCTION MAIDEN (PLUS 10 RACE) 6F 150Y
This latest maiden in the Foran Equine series looks competitive. The strongest case is for Daliyah, Ger Lyons’ filly, who has had five chances already but has achieved a fair level of form meeting finishing close to the likes of Shekiba, Chiara Luna and Abamanova. That said, Sunday Smart put up a performance of a similar standard when finishing second to Powersville, who goes for a listed contest at Navan tomorrow, and Patrick Prendergast’s filly may have more scope to improve now on just her third start.
Another to note is Russian Campaign. Kevin Prendergast’s filly caught the eye when staying on from the back on her debut at Fairyhouse and she is a daughter of Declaration Of War, who has done well with his first crop this season.
Selection: SUNDAY SMART
Next best: Russian Campaign
2:00 LIMERICK RACECOURSE WELCOMES BANGOR-ON-DEE ANNUAL MEMBERS MAIDEN (PLUS 10 RACE) 7F
This looks a match between Aidan O’Brien’s Spanish Point and Dermot Weld’s Imaging. Both are coming into this off promising runs and both have lots of scope to improve. Spanish Point’s second at Tipperary however, where he finished in between two well-regarded stablemates, looks a cut above what Imaging achieved on his debut at Tipperary. O’Brien’s colt, a son of Frankel, will be difficult to beat on this his third start.
Selection: SPANISH POINT
Next best: Imaging

Not A Bad Oul Day, now up to a rating of 92, has had a tremendous season under the care of John Feane having started his ascendancy with a win off a mark of 53 in a handicap at Gowran Park in April. He must be getting close to the ceiling but two of his six wins this season have come at Limerick and with nothing jumping off the page in this tight heat, he can go in again.
Stenographer beat Feane’s five-year-old on his penultimate run but then disappointed when reopposing at this track. He didn’t behave on his way to post that day which may have influenced his performance. If he can put his best foot forward, he has a chance to turn the tables again.
Selection: NOT A BAD OUL DAY

3:10 MARTIN MOLONY STAKES (LISTED RACE) 1M 4F 110Y
Zawraq is by far and away the most intriguing horse on this card. Once thought a contender for classic races, Dermot Weld’s horse has been plagued by injuries and is only having his fifth ever run now at the age of five. That connections have persisted with him is possibly a positive indication of the regard he is held.
His first run of this campaign was a very useful effort, finishing second to Australia-bound Riven Light and, if he can build on that, he will be difficult to beat.
That said, Detailed is getting lots of weight from the field, as a three-year-old filly, and comes into this in the form of her life for Joseph O’Brien. The soft ground conditions will be in her favour and connections have forgone a tilt at the Irish Cesarewitch instead to run in this race.
Selection: DETAILED
Next best: Zawraq
3:45 JT MCNAMARA LADBROKES MUNSTER NATIONAL TOMORROW AT LIMERICK RACECOURSE APPRENTICE HANDICAP 1M 3F
This is a wide open 16-runner handicap and a tentative vote goes to Jock Talk, a lightly-raced three-year-old having his first run for Gordon Elliott. Previously trained by Seamus Fahey, the son of Famous Name has performed with credit on two of his four runs this season and his new trainer has a very good record improving horses that come under his care.
There are any amount of dangers, notably Circling Moon, having his first run for Mick Halford, and recent Galway scorer Get Out Of Jail. Port Moody ran well on his previous run and if improving from that he could have a say at a likely big price.
Selection: JOCK TALK
Next best: Port Moody

Sorelle Delle Rose looks well treated by the conditions to this contest and so she is taken to win for a third time.
Dermot Weld’s filly holds a rating of 90 and seemed to run close enough to that assessment on her previous run, finishing second to Jessica Harrington’s Gymkhana in a similar contest to this over a mile at Gowran Park. Coming back in trip looks like a positive move and soft ground poses no problem.
Focus On Heaven has only had two starts for Jim Bolger but she impressed when accounting for Invincible Ryker and Hushing, who have both won since, over six furlongs at Fairyhouse and she can improve now on just her third start.
Selection: SORELLE DELLE ROSE

Sea Of Hope showed the first signs of promise on her previous run at Tipperary where she finished a close third to Feeling Easy. She reopposes with that runner today but is better off on the terms and in any case has far more scope to progress, especially with Pat Smullen booked by for the ride by trainer Adrian Keatley.
No Way Jack has been competitive lately and a return to Limerick is a big positive for him. Pat Martin’s horse has won and finished third on his only two visits to the track.

Count Of Carabass is something of a Limerick specialist as his form at the course reads 24123. Hilary McLoughlin’s six-year-old comes into this off the back of a comfortable win at Listowel and he may prove a tough nut to crack, with soft ground not a problem.
Harry Speed has been in good form and should be in the thick of things again but the second vote goes to the top weight Compass Hill, who disappointed last time but previously showed promise when third to Youceeyouceecee on his comeback run at Roscommon. Joseph Murphy’s five-year-old has had a few problems but was rated 86 at one stage and now races off 70.
