Little Light may be good enough to go one better having filled the runner-up spot at Fairyhouse last time. Joseph O’Brien’s mare faced a difficult task against an odds-on shot on that occasion but ran as well as could have been expected.

She has been knocking on the door of late and this could finally be her turn.

Late Again stayed on towards the finish at Clonmel last time, in the manner of one that would appreciate more of a test. She will certainly get it here on the forecast soft/heavy ground, so any market support for the local runner should be noted.

Colour Me In is well treated by these race conditions and should be capable of getting off the mark over hurdles. She has just about the best single form-line in this field, courtesy of a close fourth in a strong maiden hurdle at Cork in December. The ground was very testing on that occasion so she should cope with it here.

Flat To The Max made a winning racecourse debut on soft/heavy ground at Navan last year so will also have no issues with conditions. In the care of Ger Lyons at the time, he went on to win again over hurdles for Gordon Elliott.

Aim For Glory, so may have been an unlucky loser at Gowran last time, can put matters to right now. Tom Hogan’s charge was still bowling along at the head of the field when coming to grief two out. Prior to that, he showed up well in a strong maiden hurdle at this track when chasing home a Cheltenham winner.

Drifting Back represents a local yard and has twice run well at this track already. The form of his most recent run has stood up well in the interim and he is another that will not be troubled by the testing conditions.

She’s Made It can finally get her head in front under Champion Hurdle winning jockey Mark Walsh. The mare travels really well into her races but doesn’t always find a great deal for pressure, so the application of first time cheekpieces is a definite positive here.

Bluegrass Princess won her maiden hurdle off the back of a break and has been left on the same rating. She returns now after another absence and her locally based handler will have her well tuned for this race.

Young Dev, who stepped up on previous form when second at Clonmel last time, can take this staying hurdle. Denis Hogan has done very well with a couple of similar types in recent weeks, so it would be no surprise to see this one win and follow up. He will have no problem with the trip and has been placed on testing going previously.

Mlily was a long ways behind the Hogan horse last time but had finished second at Clonmel prior to that disappointing run. A reproduction of the former would be good enough to see her take a hand in the closing stages.

Top Moon can keep local punters happy with another winner in the green and gold silks. Joseph O’Brien’s horse was well backed when just touched off on his bumper debut at Naas but arguably improved on that form when placed in a listed hurdle at Punchestown last time out.

He now returns to a bumper appearing to hold leading claims.

Walking Fame didn’t get the clearest of runs when third on her debut at Naas, a run that gives her every chance of being involved. She is sure to have improved from the race, so should be able to make her presence felt.

Run Wild Fred has form with this week’s Cheltenham bumper winner that looks very strong following the festival. Placed in a ;isted race at Navan, he faces nothing of that class here so should be up to taking the spoils.

Better Be Alright has to be monitored closely in the betting as last year his shrewd trainer landed some right punts with bumper debutants. Although yet to pull the trigger this year, it is surely just a matter of time before one or two go in.
