1.10 ‘DOWNLOAD THE CORAL APP’ MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 2M

Jelan is worth taking a chance with. The Galway bumper winner was having her first outing over hurdles when beaten 22l into sixth by Bunk Off Early here last month. She should improve for that initial outing over timber and she would certainly have finished closer that day but for errors in the closing stages.

Jelan is chosen over the Listowel bumper winner Bargy Lady who chased home Montana Belle in a Fairyhouse maiden at the start of the month. On both her outings over hurdles, Bargy Lady has run to a solid standard and her Fairyhouse effort gives her a clear edge over Awayinthewest who finished third that day.

Selection: JELAN

Next best: Bargy Lady

1.40 CORAL.IE ‘BEST PRICE GUARANTEED ON IRISH RACING’ MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 2F

This looks a good opportunity for Capital Force to build on his highly promising debut run last month. Then he lost out by just a head to the talented Runfordave and the form of that race looks quite solid.

The Kayf Tara gelding was then a somewhat disappointing fourth to Bacardys in a maiden here several weeks later but that run was not a true reflection of his abilities and a return to the form of his first outing will make him hard to beat.

Geneva Barracks didn’t run at all badly when fifth to Bunk Off Early here last month and he should challenge for a place in the frame along with Harold Peto whose 10l fifth to Montalbano in a 2m 4f maiden represented a step in the right direction.

Selection: CAPITAL FORCE

Next best: Geneva Barracks

2.10 ‘MONEY BACK ON FALLERS’ AT CORAL.IE NOVICE CHASE (GRADE 3) 2M 3F

Yorkhill can make it two wins from as many start over fences. One of last season’s star novice hurdlers, the Cheltenham Festival hero made short work of his rivals on his chasing debut at Fairyhouse. That should have taught him plenty and a return to a left-handed track looks as though it will suit him well. He cannot be opposed.

Anibale Fly has already been placed at Grade 1 level having chased home Coney Island in the Drinmore. He was decidedly disappointing when pulling-up in a Grade 1 at Kempton last month so it wouldn’t surprise if Gangster emerged as the one to chase home Yorkhill.

Gangster did everything right when touched off by Bleu Et Rouge over this course and distance last time and his two runs over fences so far would suggest that he is a capable novice.

Selection: YORKHILL

Next best: Gangster

2.40 CORAL.IE LEOPARDSTOWN HANDICAP CHASE (GRADE A) 2M 5F

This could see Stellar Notion build on a fine fourth in last month’s Paddy Power Chase where he turned in a bold effort from the front and only gave best after the last before being beaten 7½l by Noble Endeavor.

Before that, he was second to Tiger Roll in the Munster National. Those efforts in major handicaps means he should play a major role once again.

Gordon Elliott fields quite a challenge in his bid to win this race for the first time. A Toi Phil hasn’t built on a smooth Grade 2 win at Punchestown earlier in the season. He did shape up quite well last time though when fifth to Our Duke in a 3m Grade 1 at this track where it looked as though his stamina gave out in the closing stages.

This shorter trip will suit better and he must have a leading chance despite his relative lack of experience.

A similarly inexperienced sort is Space Cadet who ran well in his first handicap chase to take second behind Kansas City Chief at Punchestown last month. He has more to offer after just three runs over fences.

A return to his best could also see Rightdownthemiddle make his presence felt.

Selection: STELLAR NOTION

Next best: A Toi Phil

3.40 ‘BET & WATCH’ IRISH RACING LIVE AT CORAL.IE HANDICAP HURDLE 3M

Diamond Cauchois could be on the cusp of a handicap hurdle success after going down by just a head to Shannak at Fairyhouse earlier this month. That run represented an encouraging step forward on his previous fourth to Tuzo and, despite being 4lbs higher in the weights, he can challenge strongly.

Woodford Island ran with credit to take fourth in the Pertemps Qualifier won by Electric Concorde just after Christmas. A similar effort here should see him make his presence felt.

Sutton Manor has over 9l to make up on Diamond Cauchois from Fairyhouse but he shaped up nicely for much of that race and is entitled to improve from his initial venture into handicaps.

Selection: DIAMOND CAUCHOIS

Next best: Woodford Island

4.10 ‘JOIN THE CORAL BET & GET CLUB AT CORAL.IE’ (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M

On his debut at this track last month, Bakmaj turned in a fine effort to finish a 2½l second to Carter Mckay. That marked him out as a likely future bumper winner and he can make a successful start for his new connections.

Derrinross is another promising type and he picked up well off a steady pace to get to within ¾l of Next Destination in a Fairyhouse bumper three weeks ago.

Imperial Cascade reverts to bumpers following his fourth to Bunk Off Early in a maiden last month. His last two runs would suggest that he can get closely involved.

Selection: BAKMAJ

Next best: Derrinross
