2.12 Leopardstown Golf, Padel And Range Maiden 1m 1f

After three consecutive seconds in maiden company, Sunatia would be a worthy winner in her own right. She should be well suited to this track and trip, and has an excellent draw in stall five, given her style of racing. Dermot Weld’s Night Of Thunder filly is more consistent than most of these rivals.

Stablemate Rhapsodic could be anything, racing in the colours of her breeders Juddmonte. She’s the second foal out of a useful Frankel mare, trained by Andre Fabre. King Of Sparta’s absence since March, and the fact he’s now tried in blinkers, couldn’t be viewed as a positive, but at least he’s shown winning potential.

SELECTION: SUNATIA

Next best: Rhapsodic

Such was the style of his win in the Concorde Stakes last time, it’s hard to look beyond King Cuan. His form got quite the boost when runner-up Princess Child won a listed race at Naas since. The question mark hanging over him is whether he’ll stay the extended mile, and others will surely try to test that stamina query.

Faiyum could be likeliest to attempt that. She likes to go forward and stays further. However, she was just chinned by Princess Child last time, so a line with King Cuan could be drawn there. Dublin’s Knight, a winner at Keeneland in April for Brendan Walsh, is a fascinating stable switcher to Joseph O’Brien.

SELECTION: KING CUAN

Next best: Faiyum

A number of these are in good recent form, so this will take some winning. Playin Cool has been winless since striking on this card 12 months ago, but there have been flickers of promise on different occasions, including when third to the talented Pierre Royal in a Curragh premier handicap in June and second here earlier that month, and he could be well treated off 81. The Irish Cambridgeshire fifth is capable of winning when all falls right - and he likes this track.

Eddie G was only beaten a short head by Uncle Goalie three weeks ago, when trying to give the winner 1lb. Now he’s in receipt of 1lb and has a chance of turning things around, albeit his rival remains lightly raced.

SELECTION: PLAYIN COOL

Next best: Eddie G

3.42 Trigo Stakes (Listed) 1m 2f

An open-looking affair, in which Diego El Queso gets the nod despite being wrong at the weights with some. He never fired at York last time, but had been a tad unfortunate not to figure when drawn poorly in a competitive Goodwood handicap from a wide draw (lacked luck in running after getting behind). This could feel like a more comfortable tempo of race, even if it’s a jump up to listed level, and his Nasrullah Handicap second here in the summer looks excellent form, with the winner, Thread Of Gold, proven in group company since. He’s won and been second on two visits to Leopardstown.

There was so much to like about what Come What May produced when winning at the Curragh on debut last month. His natural ability will put him bang there, but he lacks the experience of many of these and gives the impression of being a work in progress. Hazdann got back on winning tracks last time and shouldn’t be far away.

SELECTION: DIEGO EL QUESO

4.12 Christmas Festival Tickets On Sale Now Handicap 1m 2f

Dylan Browne McMonagle is an eye-catching booking for Thyer, who produced a promising effort at Galway before just failing to oblige at the Curragh two starts ago. Since fifth at Roscommon, it’s possible he mightn’t be the easiest to catch right from a win perspective, but he’s on a workable mark.

Dark Viper loves it around here and could be a threat off top-weight. Darius Dark is down in grade after being only beaten four lengths at Doncaster last time. Rest Your Mind was only narrowly denied last time in a lady riders’ handicap at the Curragh and is clearly in excellent heart. She looks a danger to all.

SELECTION: THYER

Next best: Rest Your Mind

Truth Be Told hasn’t had his races unfold to suit the last twice and might now get compensation at a track that has played to his strengths. He isn’t overly exposed.

Cheekpieces could be a handy addition to Latin America, as he tries a competitive handicap like this for the first time. He wasn’t beaten all that far on his return from a break at Killarney last time and must be firmly in the mix. Hat-trick seeker Handani is obvious shortlist material, now 6lb higher than when winning at Listowel. Sky Captain was 9/2 joint-favourite for the Irish Cesarewitch, when not beaten far in sixth last time.

SELECTION: TRUTH BE TOLD

Next best: Latin America

Bella Colombia gets a tentative vote, in her favoured grade at a track where she has won and finished a close third at already this season. Claiming a strong 5lb off her could make her attractive.

Greek Flower was a minor eye-catcher last time at Down Royal after getting behind. She’s an infrequent winner, but has done her winning at this time of year previously. She’s down to a career-low mark.

SELECTION: BELLA COLOMBIA

Next best: Greek Flower
