It could be significant that Tony Martin elects to run Day Trader so quickly after his recent second at Down Royal. Making his hurdling debut against older horses, the four-year-old acquitted himself very well in staying on to take minor honours. In against his own age group now, the chances of the Expert Eye gelding are obvious.
Woodview Lad is entitled to come on from his debut third at Cork last month. Although lacking the experience of a number of these rivals, Gordon Elliott’s son of Mahler clearly has plenty of ability.
SELECTION: DAY TRADER

A 107-rated horse on the flat, Westminster Moon is an exciting recruit to the jumping game. Tony Martin’s five-year-old finished third in Group 2 company in Italy on his final start for previous connections.
Having had a pipe opener on the level for his new yard at Cork last month, the Sea The Moon gelding will be hard to beat if taking to hurdling.
The Pat Doyle-trained Romany Brown looks best of those that have previously raced over flights. A consistent gelding, the son of Youmzain looks best placed to take advantage should the selection misfire.
SELECTION: WESTMINSTER MOON

Mozzies Sister can pick up this nice prize for the Declan Queally yard. Runner-up in a similar grade at the Punchestown Festival earlier this month, the six-year-old had run with credit in stronger contests earlier in the campaign. A former point-to-point and dual bumper winner, the daughter of Arctic Cosmos can register a second success over hurdles.
The Gordon Elliott-trained Royal Eagle could pose the greatest threat. A four-time winner over flights, the Free Eagle mare is versatile with trip but each of her previous successes have come at this particular distance.
SELECTION: MOZZIES SISTER
Next best: Royal Eagle

Last Kingdom, who looked a graded horse in a handicap at Fairyhouse last month, can beat his elders.
The Willie Mullins-trained four-year-old overcame trouble in running, before quickening up smartly to win on the bridle.
A 13lb rise is unlikely to halt his progress, if the son of Choeur Du Nord arrives here in similar form.
The locally-owned Frankendael is sure to have been targeted at this race. Impressive when landing a decent prize at Listowel in September, he hasn’t been as good in two subsequent starts over hurdles.
SELECTION: LAST KINGDOM
Next best: Frankendael
3.40 Gerard O’Sullivan Memorial Novice Chase 2m 7f
The Gordon Elliott-trained Pied Piper appears to have a straightforward task of making it two from two over fences. A 150-rated hurdler, who also boasts smart form on the flat, the seven-year-old made a winning start to his chasing career when easily winning at Down Royal last month. Granted a clear round of jumping, he should remain unbeaten.
Winning point-to-pointer Will The Wise should be all the better for his recent chasing debut at Cork. Noted staying on late over an inadequate trip, he should appreciate stepping up to his optimum distance here.
SELECTION: PIED PIPER
Next best: Will The Wise

Birdie Or Bust should be difficult to beat for Henry de Bromhead and Mark Walsh. A listed winner over hurdles, the J.P. McManus-owned mare arguably ran her best race when third in the Grade 2 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the 2024 Cheltenham Festival. Although yet to convince in three starts over fences, this looks a good opportunity.
A recent winner on the flat at Limerick, Out For A Stroll shouldn’t be discounted. The four-year-old is making her first start over fences but receives plenty of weight from a quartet of rivals with questions to answer.
SELECTION: BIRDIE OR BUST
Next best: Out For A Stroll
4.50 Tote Killarney National Handicap Chase 3m 2f
With Paul Townend travelling to Killarney for the one ride, Paggane has to be respected. Runner-up in a listed race at Perth last time, the Willie Mullins-trained six-year-old had won her previous start at Clonmel.
Lightly raced over fences, the Muhaarar mare had been placed in a Grade 2 contest earlier in the season.
Former Cheltenham winner Brazil ran his best race over fences to date when a staying on fourth in the Ulster National last time. Although dropping back in trip here, the gelding should be competitive if reproducing that effort.
SELECTION: PAGGANE
Next best: Brazil

Joseph O’Brien can take this concluding event with the twice-raced Galileo Sand. Third on his racecourse debut at Thurles in March, the gelding stepped up on that form when fourth in a stronger contest at Punchestown recently. With the benefit of those two starts, he should have too much experience for this opposition.
Power Of Words, who finished fourth over hurdles on his recent racecourse debut, is interesting switched to a bumper. Gordon Elliott has plenty of ammunition for these races, so clearly feels the son of Poet’s Word is smart enough to win one.
SELECTION: GALILEO SAND
