2.05 SIKA SIGNS MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 1F

Le Richebourg makes plenty of appeal on his first outing over timber.

This gelding showed promise on both his runs in bumpers, finishing third to the very smart Red Jack at Naas in January before then chasing home the top-class Debuchet at Leopardstown several weeks later.

Those efforts would indicate that he could make up into a very useful hurdler. Easy Gold is interesting on his debut for Willie Mullins.

He reached the frame in a couple of middle distance maidens last autumn and he is a lightly raced type. Denham Sound is another to note having caught the eye with her fourth in a reasonable Cork maiden hurdle last week.

Selection: LE RICHEBOURG

Next best: Easy Gold

2.35 KILLARNEY TOWERS HOTEL MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 1F

She has a 174-day absence to overcome but Theatre Dreams could still take beating.

This mare signed off with by far her best effort when finishing a close third to Forge Meadow and Toe The Line in a maiden hurdle at Wexford in November. That form looks very solid and if performing to a similar level Theatre Dreams should be able to get off the mark.

Asangy comes here off a creditable third to Song Of Namibia in a flat handicap at Limerick and he should leave the form of his previous run over hurdles well behind. Line Out is another to keep in mind as there was definite promise in a couple of his bumper runs during the winter.

Selection: THEATRE DREAMS

Next best: Asangy

3.05 IRISH WIRE PRODUCTS MARES HURDLE (LISTED) 2M 1F

Asthuria can record a well deserved blacktype triumph. Only for a couple of falls during the winter she may well have made her mark in good company and she showed just what she was capable of with a clear round when she ran out a 5l winner of a decent mares’ novice hurdle at the Punchestown Festival.

She has most to fear from her stablemate Good Thyne Tara who was a 6½l third to her at Punchestown having previously shown up well in a Grade 1 event at Fairyhouse won by Augusta Kate.

Selection: ASTHURIA

Next best: Good Thyne Tara

3.35 REDWELD STABLES HANDICAP HURDLE (GRADE B) 2M 1F

Former course and distance winner After Rain can land the decent prize that his talents deserve. He has come right back to his best lately with placed efforts in €100,000 handicaps at Fairyhouse and Punchestown.

At Easter he was a good third to Thomas Hobson and he coped well with a step up to 2m 4f at Punchestown when taking fourth behind Open Eagle. Those runs would entitle him to take beating. Lagostovegas is very interesting on her debut for Willie Mullins.

She showed up well in some fair handicaps last season and form such as her 4l sixth to That’s A Wrap at Leopardstown over Christmas would entitle her to get closely involved here.

Selection: AFTER RAIN

Next best: Lagostovegas

4.05 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF BEGINNERS CHASE 2M 1F

Lion In His Heart is capable of a good deal better than his last couple of runs would suggest and he should make up into a decent novice chaser. Last autumn this gelding won a maiden hurdle at Tipperary and he would have run well in a Navan Grade 3 won by Death Duty only to fall at the second last.

He was not at his best in two subsequent runs but he comes here off a good break and a much improved effort should be forthcoming. Gwencily Berbas may prefer a longer trip but he boasts a standout effort in the shape of his 11l second to Our Duke in a 2m 4f beginners’ chase at Navan in December. That display entitles him to the utmost respect.

The useful hurdler Modem is another that deserves every consideration with his yard going so well.

Selection: LION IN HIS HEART

Next best: Gwencily Berbas

4.35 KILLARNEY OUTLOOK PUBLICATIONS NOVICE CHASE 2M 6F

He has yet to realise his full potential over fences but Blazer could make his mark on his first outing since January.

Last year’s Coral Cup fourth had to settle for third behind Uncle Danny in a Cork beginners’ chase last time out although the form of that race has been boosted by the subsequent efforts of the runner-up General Principle.

In addition his second to A Genie In Abottle over 3m at Fairyhouse in December is another good run. Velocity Boy is a significant rival. He has won over this trip and his form since includes a decent third to Edwulf in a smart 2m 4f novice handicap chase at Naas in February.

He is rated just 1lb below Blazer but he does have to give him 6lbs.

Selection: BLAZER

Next best: Velocity Boy

5.05 IRISH EXAMINER HANDICAP CHASE (0-102) 2M 4F 120YDS

Not For You can strike for the first time since April 2013. He possibly hasn’t enjoyed the best of luck over fences but on several occasions he has shown that he is capable of winning in this grade.

Form such as his second to Rockshandy at Listowel in September puts him in with every chance and he was running well over this course and distance last August when carried out before the third last.

Dark Outsider is 8lbs worse off with the selection than when beating him by 10l in the autumn. He won twice in September and October and continued to run well in defeat afterwards so he should be more than good enough to hold his own here.

Selection: NOT FOR YOU

Next best: Dark Outsider

5.35 JIM RYAN RACECOURSE SERVICES (PRO/AM) FLAT RACE 2M 1F

On her debut, The Princetonian shaped up very nicely to be beaten just over 7l into sixth by Minutestomidnight in a Grade 3 mares’ bumper at the Punchestown Festival. She should be all the better for that experience and her cause is aided by her rider’s 7lbs claim.

She might be too strong for the useful Stooshie who enjoyed anything but a smooth run at Punchestown when he was beaten less than 4l into fifth in a four-year-old bumper won by Roaring Bull.

This gelding is more than good enough to make his mark in a bumper.

Bergkamp and the experienced Cornelius Sulla also showed up well behind Roaring Bull at Punchestown and they are others to note in what looks quite a useful contest.

Selection: THE PRINCETONIAN

Next best: Stooshie
