Trainer Eoin McCarthy appears to hold a strong hand, with Wholelotofbusiness the pick of his three representatives. Runner-up over course and distance in May, the six-year-old made a promising handicap debut when third at Cork recently. Back in maiden company, the lightly-raced gelding holds leading claims.

Point-to-point winner Val Venus is interesting back with his original trainer, Eddie Power. Having shown promise on his Rules debut for the Tipperary man, he subsequently disappointed on two runs over hurdles for another yard.

SELECTION: WHOLELOTOFBUSINESS

Next best: Val Venus

Although very disappointing at Ballinrobe last time, Jaadil might be worth another chance. The Davy Fitzgerald-trained filly had shown promise when second at Bellewstown in July, before backing that up when fourth at Kilbeggan subsequently. A reproduction of either effort would see her go close in what looks a weak contest.

Handicap debutant Boola Times is a lightly-raced four-year-old open to improvement. Fifth at Roscommon on his latest run over flights, the gelding never got competitive back on the flat last time.

SELECTION: JAADIL

Next best: Boola Times

Former point-to-point winner Regards To Rose looks to have every chance of opening her account under rules. Well supported when third here in a maiden hurdle last time, the Eoin McCarthy-trained mare doesn’t look too harshly treated on her handicap debut. Dropping back in trip should also suit the daughter of Fuisse.

Music Of Life might be capable of getting involved on her first start for Denis Hogan. Although needing to improve on recent efforts, the five-year-old is relatively unexposed over hurdles.

SELECTION: REGARDS TO ROSE

3.05 Cinco Patricio’s Handicap Hurdle 2m 6f 80yd

Former course winner Prince Zaltar might be rekindled by a return to this venue. Pulled up in first-time cheekpieces last time, the gelding has blinkers equipped here.

A winner over fences on his penultimate start, the Philip Rothwell-trained gelding retains plenty of ability if on a going day.

Persian Daughter has to be respected on her handicap debut. A maiden winner at Downpatrick last time, the Willie Mullins-trained mare faces a much stiffer task in this grade, but is thoroughly unexposed after just two runs over flights.

SELECTION: PRINCE ZALTAR

Next best: Persian Daughter

Point-to-point winner Downmexicoway can strike on his first start over fences. Runner-up on his first two runs over hurdles, the gelding made the breakthrough over this trip when winning his maiden at Down Royal. Although finding it more difficult when raised in class subsequently, he should appreciate this switch to chasing.

One of the highest-rated of these over hurdles, Hashtag Pretender has to be of interest on his fencing debut. A former bumper and hurdle winner, the Barry Connell-trained gelding should be very competitive.

SELECTION: DOWNMEXICOWAY

Digby, who had been in excellent form prior to unseating at Galway last time, can resume winning ways. Successful over hurdles at this venue, the Dermot McLoughlin-trained gelding had been slow to replicate that form over fences, prior to really getting the hang of things in recent months.

Turnpike Trip, who won that aforementioned Galway contest, has to be a contender, despite his penalty. Still relatively lightly-raced over fences at the age of 11, the gelding is well treated with the majority of rivals.

SELECTION: DIGBY

A four-time winner at this track, Solitary Man can gain a fifth course victory. Although only fourth on his most recent visit here in July, the Enda Bolger-trained gelding was racing over a trip well short of his best. Faced with an additional half-mile on this occasion, the son of Champs Elysees should go close.

Dreal Deal, who won that aforementioned race, would be a serious threat if replicating that form. A former graded winner over flights, the veteran made the perfect start for Philip Rothwell when scoring here last month.

SELECTION: SOLITARY MAN

Next best: Dreal Deal

5.25 Killarney Glamping (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race 2m 100yd

Course and distance winner Galileo Sand can follow up his recent win. Runner-up here in May, the Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding went one better when opening his account at the July Festival meeting. With Patrick Mullins a notable jockey booking, the four-year-old has every chance of back-to-back victories.

Galway fourth Papanell is sure to have been laid out for this race. Trainer John Joseph Murphy loves to target horses at this meeting and the Cork man has booked Harry Swan for the ride.

SELECTION: GALILEO SAND
