Recent Clonmel runner-up Keep Kool Coko can go one better. The Andy Slattery-trained gelding had earlier occupied the same position at Tramore in April. In between those two starts, the five-year-old finished mid-division in a stronger race at the Punchestown festival. Off an official rating of 112, he sets a fair standard.
Narrowly denied in a handicap chase at Tipperary last time, In The Trenches has to be of interest reverting to flights. Gavin Cromwell’s gelding has now finished second on 10 occasions, but remains capable of gaining that all elusive success.
SELECTION: KEEP KOOL COKO

Downpatrick winner Toad Hall should have every chance of resuming winning ways. Although beaten at Cheltenham subsequently, the Willie Mullins-trained gelding would hold leading claims if able to reproduce his previous effort. Stepping up in trip should also suit the son of Fame And Glory.
Gordon Elliott had a number of entries for this race, so the fact that he relies on Wexford maiden winner Cooke’s Lass has to be noted.
SELECTION: TOAD HALL

Blue Reed, who has only had a few chances for trainer Cian Collins, is worth another chance in what looks an ordinary race. Although disappointing last time, the gelding had hinted at ability on his previous couple of outings.
Kinbara Hills has shaped well enough to suggest that he can win a race of this nature. Perhaps the application of a first-time visor can make the difference.

Having landed a gamble in tidy fashion on his stable debut at Fairyhouse, Malbas was far from disgraced when fourth at Down Royal last time. A three-time winner on the flat, the Edward Buckley-trained gelding gives the impression that he could still be well treated over flights off his current rating.
Moulane West couldn’t have been more impressive when making all to open his account over flights at Sligo recently. On a similarly tight track, the Mark McNiff-trained gelding would be dangerous if allowed too much leeway.
SELECTION: MALBAS

Aspurofthemoment, who is unbeaten in two starts for trainer Gavin Cromwell, has to be a leading contender. Having already been successful in a point-to-point for previous connections, the six-year-old Ocovango gelding should have no issues on his first start over regulation fences.
Noel Meade has wasted little time in getting recent Downpatrick winner Game On over fences. Having already run well in his point-to-point, the hint should be taken.
SELECTION: ASPUROFTHEMOMENT
Next best: Game On

Although yet to register a win over fences, the Philip Rothwell-trained Cheerful Chap sets the standard. Placed on six of his seven starts over the larger obstacles, the eight-year-old ran a career best last time when runner-up in a listed handicap chase at Navan. Dropped in class here, the Pour Moi gelding should take advantage.
Freddie Robdal, who came from last to first to win here last time, has to be respected. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding looks open to further progression over fences, having only had the four starts to date.
SELECTION: CHEERFUL CHAP

Nadia’s Boy, winner of his only point-to-point start for previous connections, has to be of interest on his debut for Willie Mullins. An absence of 400 days is little cause for concern for a runner from this stable.
Diamond Tipp proved disappointing here last time, but is almost certainly better than that form suggests. She is worth another chance here.
SELECTION: NADIA’S BOY
