The following horses, noted by our reporters on their latest starts, hold these engagements over the next six days:
CASTLEHUME (IRE)
Declared to run at Navan today & entered at Gowran Park on Thursday
Noted at Down Royal, December 26th: He ran well in his first handicap to press the leaders in third. Looks to be on a decent mark.
GLADIATOR KING (IRE)
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Leopardstown, December 27th: This gelding hasn’t shown much since dead-heating for victory in a maiden hurdle here almost two years ago but his close up fifth in the handicap won by That’s A Wrap would suggest that he could be poised to build on that promise.
DERRINROSS (IRE)
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Fairyhouse, January 1st: This winning pointer showed plenty on his debut to chase home Next Destination in the bumper and the manner in which he pulled clear over the last furlong was encouraging.
DINARIA DES OBEAUX (FR)
Entered at Fairyhouse on Wednesday
Noted at Cork, December 11th: Looked a smart recruit when skating up on her Irish debut and should have plenty more to offer.
SHE’LLBEALLRIGHT (IRE)
Entered at Fairyhouse on Wednesday
Noted at Punchestown, December 31st: This filly produced her best effort to date when securing third at 33/1 in the handicap hurdle won by Tethra. This lightly raced type can improve further and a similar race should be within her grasp.
CHAMPAGNE WEST (IRE)
Entered at Gowran Park on Thursday
Noted at Tramore, January 1st: He could be on a roll, now that his jumping has finally come together, and looks set to make an impact in the major conditions races in the weeks ahead.
IMPERIAL WAY (IRE)
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Fairyhouse December 4th: On his first outing since his debut second at Sligo in May, this Getaway gelding ran a pleasing race to chase home Getabird in the bumper. He should find a similar race within his grasp in the coming weeks.
