THE Criquette Head-trained Epicuris heads the field of six for the Group 2 Prix Eugene Adam over 10 furlongs at Maisons Laffitte tomorrow.

The colt had become difficult at the start and was forced to miss the Prix du Jockey Club when he was not allowed to have assistance in the stalls. Instead, he ran in the Investec Derby where he appeared not to stay when fading in the final two furlongs after challenging two out. He finished 12 lengths behind Golden Horn.

He boasts by far the best form after an unbeaten three-race two-year-old career where he won the Group 1 Criterium De Saint-Cloud over 10 furlongs in heavy ground last autumn.

War Dispatch, a Joseph Allen-owned son of War Front was on a five-race winning streak before finishing a staying on third behind New Bay in the Prix du Jockey Club where he had tomorrow’s rival Piment Rouge a head behind him with Mostaneer sixth.

The Aga Khan is represented by the Shamardal colt Dariyan, trained by Jean Claude Rouget. He won his maiden and a conditions race at Saint-Cloud before finishing fourth to Grand Prix du Paris winner Erupt in a Chantilly Group 3 beaten just two lengths.
