12.40 BAR ONE RACING JUVENILE HURDLE (GRADE 3) 2M
Missy Tata couldn’t have been more impressive when winning on her Irish debut at Down Royal and Ruby Walsh looks a significant booking. The filly was clearly well fancied on that occasion, as she started even money favourite, despite the presence of easy last time out winner Tiliver in the field. As it transpired, Gordon Elliott’s runner had little difficulty seeing off her opponents and a repeat of that effort should suffice here.
The aforementioned Tiliver is again facing the starter but it is hard to see how he can turn the form around with his Down Royal conqueror. Despite this, he remains a horse of some potential and is slightly better off at the weights for that defeat.
Selection: MISSY TATA
Next best: Tiliver
2.10 UNDERWRITING EXCHANGE HANDICAP HURDLE 2M 4F
Although 26 runners look set to line up for this contest, the field can easily we whittled down, as many are likely to be using this as a prep for targets over the Christmas period. Of those that appear set to feature at the business end, few appeal more than former bumper winner Ryeback Jack.
Davy Fitzgerald has his string back in form and the eight-year-old caught the eye travelling really well over this trip at Clonmel last time. While there must be a slight stamina concern, the easier track will suit and he can continue the fine run of jockey Jack Kennedy.
Coolaghknock Glebe made a promising reappearance at Naas recently and is nicely handicapped over hurdles relative to his chase mark.
On his day he remains a horse with something in hand of the assessor and any market moves late on should be duly noted.
Selection: RYEBACK JACK
Next best: Coolaghknock Glebe
3.10 BAR ONE RACING PORTERSTOWN HANDICAP CHASE 3M 5F
Tulsa Jack disappointed when sent off favourite for the Troytown Chase last weekend and the fact Noel Meade sends him out again so quickly could be significant.
The six-year-old was very impressive winning the Cork National over this trip on his previous start and something may have been amiss at Navan.
As a proven mudlark on stamina sapping ground, he boasts the perfect credentials for a race of this nature and can get back to winning ways.
Bless The Wings was third in the cross-country chase at Cheltenham earlier this month and if that experience has rekindled his interest he can be competitive. A former high class chaser when trained in Britain, he remains ahead of the handicapper and should relish the stamina test.
Selection: TULSA JACK
Next best: Bless The Wings

In a race of this nature the Mullins runner is the obvious starting point and Lucky Pass comes here with the right profile. A winner of a point-to-point on his sole start to date, he was subsequently bought by Gigginstown and is now under the care of the champion trainer. Although a few of the opposition appear to have chances in a relatively open contest, it is difficult to look beyond the obvious.
Sunni May is certainly one capable of making a race of it, having run a huge race on his debut at Fairyhouse. The form of that bumper has worked out well in the interim and Jessica Harrington’s runner is a serious contender.
Selection: LUCKY PASS
Next best: Sunni May
