1.50 Ryan’s Cleaning, Waste And Recycling Maiden Hurdle 2m
El Barra lines up with solid prospects. He ran a respectable second to Coqolino in a Navan maiden hurdle last month which represented an improvement on his fourth to Limestone Rock at Naas in late January and he wouldn’t need to improve much more to win this.
He is marginally preferred to the lightly raced Buddy Rich who has only run twice this season but his fourth to Eskylane at Punchestown and his recent third to Grand Bornand would suggest he is good enough to make his mark at this level.
SELECTION: EL BARRA
Next best: Buddy Rich
2.20 Cawley Furniture Novice Handicap Hurdle 2m 4f
A solid option here could be Breakeven who won a 2m maiden hurdle at this track in late February. As one who won a 2m 4f bumper earlier in the season he will improve for the step up in distance and the switch to better ground should also suit as he won a point-to-point on good ground. The runner-up from his maiden hurdle has since won which gives the form a very solid look.
Slige Dala has plenty of weight and will also have to improve on what he showed at Thurles last time. However, his previous second to Millen To One at Leopardstown was a fine effort and looks like strong form in the context of this race. He is only 3lb higher than he was at Leopardstown so that should not prevent him from showing up well.
SELECTION: BREAKEVEN
Next best: Slige Dala
2.50 Paddy Kehoe Suspended Ceilings Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) 2m
Thedevilscoachman is hard to look past. He has created an excellent impression in a reasonably light but highly industrious campaign which has yielded three wins from four starts headed by a listed success at Punchestown a couple of months ago. He also ran with credit in a smart Grade 1 on just his second outing over timber and he looks quite capable of making his mark at this level.
Echoes In Rain has made great strides in a light campaign and her 8l defeat of the subsequent County Hurdle hero Belfast Banter in a Naas Grade 2 last month is a particularly impressive piece of form. She provides the selection with a stern test.
Call Me Lyreen won at Grade 2 level earlier in the season and could easily bounce back from a below-par run behind Appreciate It at Christmas.

3.50 Colm Quinn BMW Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) 2m 4f
Gentlemansgame has come a long way in just two runs and looks more than good enough to make his mark at this level. He was a hugely impressive winner of a Cork maiden hurdle on his racecourse debut in early January and then he coped splendidly with the step up to the highest level when chasing home Gaillard Du Mesnil in a 2m 6f Grade 1 at Leopardstown a couple of months ago.
He can surely progress further and he is preferred to Grand Paradis who impressed in winning his maiden here a couple of months ago and then ran out a stylish 13l winner of a Grade 3 at Thurles where he defeated a decent yardstick in Goodbye Someday.
Ashdale Bob is much better than his last run suggests, while Gabynako is respected as his Grade 1 third at Naas in January represents top-class form.
SELECTION: GENTLEMANSGAME
Next best: Grand Paradis
4.25 BoyleSports Novice Handicap Chase (Grade B) 2m 150yds
This could go the way of Donkey Years who won a 2m 1f Navan handicap chase last month with a good deal more to spare than the winning margin of 1¼l might suggest. He picked up a 10lb hike in the weights for that success but looked a handicapper to stay on the right side of and is hard to look past here.
Yukon Lil turns out again quickly after taking advantage of an easy opportunity over hurdles at Limerick last week. She won’t have any trouble with the better ground and form such as her third to Elimay and Shattered Love in a decent mares chase at Naas a couple of months ago gives her very solid claims.
SELECTION: DONKEY YEARS
Next best: Yukon Lil
5.30 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Sales Bumper 2m
Dark Raven looked a very nice prospect when he bolted up on his debut in a Leopardstown bumper last month. He finished with 7½l to spare over a horse that was subsequently placed in a blacktype bumper at Limerick last Sunday and there could be any amount of improvement forthcoming following that run.
He can deal with Zero Tolerance whose career began with a pleasing 4½l second to Au Fleron in a point-to-point bumper at Tipperary last week.
Hey Johnny is a fascinating newcomer as a half-brother to the Cheltenham bumper hero Sir Gerhard.
Pats Choice is interesting as a son of Getaway from the family of Egypt Mill Prince.
SELECTION: DARK RAVEN
Next best: Zero Tolerance
