Former point-to-point winner Relieved Of Duties can make a winning start to his chasing career. Off the mark over hurdles at Cork in December, the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding has been highly tried in subsequent outings. Grade 2 placed at Punchestown in January, the six-year-old has the potential to do even better over fences.
Also successful between the flags, Koori Star made a winning rules debut in a Sligo maiden hurdle last June. Although unable to add to that victory after, the Peter Fahey-trained gelding should appreciate the switch to chasing.

Off the track since being pulled up at Aintree in April, Barry Lyndon can make a winning reappearance. Trained locally by Dermot McLoughlin, the Imperial Monarch gelding is sure to be well-schooled ahead of this chasing debut. Just about the best of this quartet over hurdles, the seven-year-old should be hard to beat if taking to fences.
Point-to-point runner-up Kamikaz Du Plessis won twice over hurdles during the summer. A lightly-raced five-year-old, connections have wasted little time in making the switch to chasing.

Having unseated three out when bidding for a hat-trick last time, Malbay Madness is taken to recover losses. A dual winner on the flat, the five-year took a while to adapt to hurdling, but was in a rich vein of form when last seen. Trainer Dermot McLoughlin does well at his local track, so the gelding is sure to be primed for this assignment.
Runner-up on her latest two starts, Paul’s Dream has every chance of going one better. A winner at Wexford in August, the six-year-old daughter of Mahler has the services of Danny Mullins on this occasion.

The Paul Nolan-trained Western Model can make the breakthrough over fences. An impressive winner of a handicap hurdle at Punchestown last May, the six-year-old has gradually improved on each start since switching his attention to chasing. Off the track since June, the son of Westerner shaped really well until lack of an outing told against him at Roscommon last time.
Downpatrick runner-up Midnight Moonshine has every chance of going one better. A winner over hurdles at Kilbeggan in July, the Soldier Of Fortune gelding is rated 5lb lower in this sphere.

Third on her racecourse debut at Ballinrobe last month, the Sonny Carey-trained High Notions can register a first success. Entitled to improve from that initial experience, the five-year-old has bright prospects in what is arguably a weaker contest.
Point-to-point winner Whitewinewednesday ran her best race under rules to date when third at Navan recently. Stepping up an additional furlong here should really suit the Mathew Daly-trained six-year-old.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained Cowper Hall looks to have strong claims of a breakthrough win. Third on his stable debut at Thurles in March, the five-year-old would have gone close but for meeting the final flight all wrong. A strong traveller, the gelding should be ideally suited to this much tighter track, with its easier finish. Truckers Cruising, who finished fifth on his initial run for Gordon Elliott, is entitled to have progressed in the interim. A former point-to-point winner, he will probably want further in time, but has the ability to win an ordinary contest such as this.

Ballymoreen can make a winning debut for trainer Mark Quigley. Fourth on her introduction at Thurles in December, the five-year-old mare is entitled to have benefited from that initial experience. With the form of that race having been well advertised subsequently, the daughter of Malinas has to have strong claims here.
Downpatrick third Minella Jury has his chance under Maxine O’Sullivan. While the John Nallen-trained gelding gave the impression that he may prefer a stiffer test of stamina, connections may opt to make more use of the five-year-old around this sharp track.
