Provided that she jumps better than at Wexford last time, Hillhead Runner can get off the mark for Gavin Cromwell. Runner-up on her previous start at Bellewstown, the five-year-old was still in contention when falling at the last flight on her latest appearance. On the balance of her overall form, the Mahler mare looks the most likely winner.
Bumper winner Atomic Queen proved disappointing on her hurdling debut at Kilbeggan but is almost certainly capable of better. It would be no surprise to see the Peter Fahey-trained mare leave that latest run behind.

Having shaped with promise on her recent stable debut at Galway, the Cian Collins-trained Redwood Queen can land a seventh career win. A daughter of Mahler, the eight-year-old looks nicely treated at these weights and, has the benefit of a previous course and distance victory. A versatile mare, she should have no issues with this small field.
Killarney runner-up Arch Empire has run well on three subsequent starts on the flat. Still relatively lightly raced over hurdles, the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding is open to further improvement.
SELECTION: REDWOOD QUEEN

Despite unseating early last time, it could pay to stick with the Ian Donoghue-trained Parkgarve. Nicely supported prior to the race, the five-year-old was clearly expected to step up on previous showings, on what was only his second run in a handicap. A half-brother to a Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner, the son of Shirocco remains capable of better. Freddie Robdal shaped well enough when fourth over hurdles last time to suggest he can win at this discipline. A three-time scorer over fences, the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding can race off 17lb lower here.

A recent maiden hurdle winner at this track, Diamond Tipp can follow up. Prominent throughout on that occasion, the John McConnell-trained five-year-old should be suited to this small field. Runner-up in a bumper on her only other visit here, that solid course form is a huge advantage around such a unique venue.
In receipt of weight from her elders, Maxios Prime has to be a leading contender. Second at this track last time, the Philip Rothwell-trained four-year-old is another who has also proven her ability to act around here.

Third at Galway last month, the Paul Mulligan-trained Coded Welder can make the breakthrough. Runner-up on his previous start at Tipperary, that form received a significant boost when the victor followed up next time. In receipt of weight from the previous winners here, the six-year-old holds strong claims of a first success.
Bumper winner William Butler has yet to get his head in front over hurdles but has been running well enough to suggest he can do so. Perhaps this stiff track will enable the Gordon Elliott-trained gelding to gain that elusive bracket.

Fire Coral has shown enough in two starts for trainer Sam Curling to suggest she can win a race of this nature. Third here on her stable debut last month, the six-year-old again ran a solid race when fourth at Wexford last time. Although still a maiden after 26 starts, the daughter of Sea The Stars is worth siding with in this ordinary contest.
Georgia Celena has every chance of following up her recent course and distance success. Subsequently raised 5lb for that narrow victory, the mare can race off the same mark here once her riders claim is taken into account.

Runner-up on her recent stable debut for Gordon Elliott at Tramore, Crossbar Getaway can go one better. A lightly raced mare, the five-year-old had made a promising introduction at Galway last August but failed to build on that subsequent. Provided that the daughter of Getaway isn’t one best caught fresh, she can open her account.
The John McConnell-trained Minella Supreme rates the main threat. Second at Killarney last month, the Soldier Of Fortunate gelding is nicely treated with his rider taking off 7lb.
