2.05 KEEPING IT COUNTRY RACEDAY & CONCERT MARES MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 2F 165YDS

Agusta Gold can improve on some respectable runs in defeat. The Tramore bumper winner has run three solid races over hurdles with her best effort being her second to Mysloegin over 2m4f at Wexford last month. This trip may suit her better than the 2m 6f she ran over at Killarney last time when she was a 14l second to Jazz Mine. On her Killarney run she holds a clear edge over Dalouga who was beaten 24l into sixth on her first start for 11 months. The form she showed in bumpers would entitle Dalouga to be closely involved.

SELECTION: AGUSTA GOLD

Next best: Dalouga

2.40 MAJOR WILLIAM BROWNLOW MEMORIAL RATED HURDLE 2M 2F 165YDS

This could see Cartwright bounce back to form. He could never get involved in the Galway Hurdle last week after making an early mistake but this race represents a huge drop in class. The small field and longer trip will work in his favour and it is worth recalling that he was a listed winner over hurdles last season as well as running with credit at Grade 1 level. He can see off Political Policy who won a conditions hurdle at this track last month when accounting for the capable Count Simon.

SELECTION: CARTWRIGHT

3.15 A J C GROUP NEWCASTLE HANDICAP HURDLE (80-95) 2M 2F 165YDS

Maighnealta is a hopeful choice to defy top-weight. He has been chasing lately but is a capable performer at this level as a hurdler and he is a former course and distance winner who has also run some good races in defeat at this venue.

Maighnealta could have the most to fear from Make My Heart Fly who ran respectably in a handicap hurdle here two months ago and won a Perth handicap hurdle last week. The 86-rated Lleyton is better than he has shown over hurdles and showed up well on the flat at Ballinrobe lately.

SELECTION: MAIGHNEALTA

3.50 BIRTHDAY GREETINGS MARES HANDICAP HURDLE 2M 5F 165YDS

The burden of top-weight shouldn’t prevent Mill Quest from notching up her third success of the summer. She won a 3m handicap at Limerick last month and followed up over 2m4f at Cork before bouncing back to form with a good 7l second to Black Key in a 2m5f Galway handicap last week.

She is only 2lbs higher in the weights for that Galway effort and she can see off Caerleon Kate who showed up well over this course and distance a month ago when chasing home Touch Base in a maiden hurdle.

SELECTION: MILL QUEST

Next best: Caerleon Kate

4.25 JIM DEVINE CONCERT MAIDEN HURDLE 2M 5F 165YDS

Present In Court can make a winning start over hurdles. He progressed from a debut third in a Kilbeggan bumper to run out a 10l winner of a 2m2f bumper at this track last month.

The step-up to this longer trip will suit him and he can make the advantage of two recent runs count against the French import Eclat Des Mottes. The latter makes his debut for Willie Mullins having finished third in an AQPS flat race at Argentan last October.

SELECTION: PRESENT IN COURT

Next best: Eclat Des Mottes

4.55 MOLSON COORS HANDICAP HURDLE (80-95) 2M 5F 165YDS

On her penultimate outing Lady Of The Sea showed up well at this track to chase home Touchedbyanangel in a 2m2f handicap hurdle and she followed that with a victory over 3m at Wexford just over two weeks ago. She is only 4lbs higher and she should see off the top-weight, King’s Song.

He was very disappointing on his last run in late May but looked a useful recruit for his trainer when winning a 3m1f handicap chase at Punchestown last October.

SELECTION: LADY OF THE SEA

Next best: King’s Song

5.30 BMG INSURANCE FLAT RACE 2M 2F 165YDS

Neptune made a pleasing debut at Galway last week when he was beaten 7½l into third by Zero Ten in a bumper. He put in some decent late work in the closing stages of that race so this longer trip is sure to work in his favour. He might be too strong for the Willie Mullins newcomer Rebel Og, who is an own-sister to a dual winner.

SELECTION: NEPTUNE

Next best: Rebel Og
