1.50 Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle 2m 5f 180yd
Former point-to-point winner Sound Judgement can make the breakthrough under rules. Runner-up at Navan on her penultimate start, the Gordon Elliott-trained mare had her excuses when a beaten favourite at Clonmel last time. She sets the standard here and, should be good enough.
Surfin Usa is almost certainly capable of better now that she tackles hurdles for the first time. Sent off favourite for both bumper starts, she failed to collect in either but had undoubtedly been showing up well at home.
SELECTION: SOUND JUDGEMENT

Clonmel second In The Trenches should be able to step up a place. Although yet to win from 34 starts, the Gavin Cromwell-trained gelding sets a fair standard and, his vast experience is sure to stand to him. While vulnerable to an unexposed type, he looks the most likely winner.
Dual bumper runner-up Amina would be a serious threat if streetwise enough on hurdling debut. A respectable fifth, in a listed bumper at Cheltenham in November, the John McConnell -rained mare would be hard to beat if her inexperience doesn’t count against her.
SELECTION: IN THE TRENCHES
Next best: Amina

You Make Me Smile can score for trainer Pat Fahy. A consistent mare in recent starts, the eight-year-old arrives here on the back of a solid third at Ballinrobe last time. Having reached the frame on her previous visit to this track, the daughter of Elusive Pimpernel is proven around here.
A winner over hurdles at Down Royal in March, Rockstown Girl has reached the frame in two subsequent starts over fences. Back over flights here off 6lb higher, she rates the main threat.

Chanceawetmorning can register a fourth success since joining trainer Gordon Elliott. An impressive scorer at Roscommon last time, the six-year-old appeared to still be a bit ahead of the handicapper. A proven stayer, he should relish this stiff test and, can continue his winning run.
A course and distance maiden winner, Mr Master Mac is totally unexposed. An opening mark of 117 looks fair, especially when taking the claim of Thomas O’Connor into account.

Tramore maiden scorer Butch Coolidge can make a winning handicap debut. Although subsequently raised 9lb, jockey Peter Smithers takes most of that off here. Totally unexposed after just five starts, the Bowe family owned six-year-old can make it back-to-back successes.
Top-weight Lumiere Du Large could give the selection most to do. A former flat winner, the Gordon Elliott-trained mare has been placed on her two starts since joining the yard from Willie Mullins.

Centaq shaped well enough when fourth here last time to suggest he can shed his maiden tag. Yet to get his head in front from 14 attempts, the Dermot McLoughlin-trained gelding has tended to run his best races at this unique track. Runner-up here on two occasions, this might finally be his day.
Wexford runner-up Demanding Gerry is unlikely to be far away. Also a maiden, the James Fahey-trained mare has finished second on four occasions and, should make the breakthrough before too long.
SELECTION: CENTAQ

Churchfield Annie should be hard to beat. Placed on her first two bumper runs, the Emmet Mullins-trained mare ran much too free when disappointing in listed company on her latest start. The very fact her shrewd connections deemed her worthy of running in that contest suggests that she is well above average.
Newcomer Irish Lace is one to note in the market. An unraced daughter of Crystal Ocean, the four-year-old represents local connections and, is sure to be primed for her introduction.
