2.00 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 7f

Colour Sergeant might be able to get off the mark at the third attempt.

After a solid debut at Fairyhouse, he appeared to take a step forward in a maiden over this course and distance last month when he was beaten 2l into third by Mac Swiney.

Iowa shaped like one who would be all the better for his first run when he was beaten by just under 5l into sixth in a maiden won by Hudson River over this course and distance in June.

Noble Seal was disappointing last time but his debut run at Leopardstown was very encouraging. He now wears cheekpieces and could be a danger to all.

SELECTION: COLOUR SERGEANT

Next best: Iowa

2.35 Sheehy Motors Volkswagen Trophy Handicap 6f

The second nursery of the season might fall to Dacesa. She won a 5f Naas maiden on her debut in June and probably improved on that form to finish a 5½l fourth in a Down Royal conditions race a couple of weeks ago. The form of that race already looks decent with the winner Measure Of Magic reaching the frame at listed level this week and the runner-up Miss Amulet actually won at that stakes race at Naas.

Dacesa gets the nod over the top- weight Procellarum who wasn’t at his best last time but would have prospects on his first two runs, the second of which yielded a fourth to the useful Vafortino at Leopardstown.

SELECTION: DACESA

Next best: Procellarum

3.40 Rathasker Stud Phoenix Sprint Stakes (Group 3) 6f

Speak In Colours is a very dependable and classy sort and could take beating despite having to shoulder a Group 2 penalty. He was an impressive winner of the 7f Group 3 Ballycorus Stakes last time. Before that he narrowly defeated Forever In Dreams in the Group 2 Greenlands Stakes over this course and distance.

On these revised terms he will need to better his Greenlands effort, but he can do so over a course and distance which has yielded four wins and a second from five starts.

He is preferred to last season’s Cheveley Park Stakes winner Millisle who got her season back on track with a dominant victory in the Group 3 Ballyogan Stakes at Naas last month. She is the top-rated runner in the field.

Sonaiyla produced a tremendous weight-carrying effort in a handicap here last time and looks more than capable of holding her own at this level.

SELECTION: SPEAK IN COLOURS

Next best: Millisle

4.15 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 5f

On his debut over this course and distance last month, Mudawy caught the eye with a strong finishing effort. He looked to be struggling for much of the race but finished off well to be beaten by just over 3l into fourth behind Chocquinto.

He might be able to turn the tables on the experienced Call Of The Jungle who was a ½l second to Chocquinto having previously filled the runner-up spot behind Laurel Wreath at Navan.

Taggalo’s season began with a very pleasing third to Big Gossey in a handicap at this track. She now has blinkers applied and could return to the form of that comeback run.

SELECTION: MUDAWY

Next best: Call Of The Jungle

4.50 TRM Excellence In Equine Nutrition Handicap (45-70) 5f

Hell Left Loose landed a gamble at Naas on Monday and might be able to follow up here despite being 7lb higher in the weights. He showed plenty of dash at Naas so the drop back to the minimum trip isn’t a concern.

He could have most to fear from Misterio who took a step forward last time and looked as though she would be able to make her mark in a handicap at some point based on that 1½l second to Musical Rue.

Teddy Boy looked somewhat unlucky when third to Hell Left Loose at the start of the week and is another to consider.

SELECTION: HELL LEFT LOOSE

Next best: Misterio

5.25 Hashtag ForTheLoveOf-Kildare Fillies Maiden 1m

Lady Anner stepped forward dramatically to chase home Epona Plays in a 1m maiden at Gowran Park last month. She was beaten just ½l by quite a useful rival that day and can progress.

On ratings she has plenty to find with So Wonderful, but the latter has been unable to build on her third in the Irish 1000 Guineas. She has met with defeat in maidens on her last two starts and she is now without a win in 14 starts.

Sagrada Familia and the Limerick runner-up Sindhia are others to keep in mind.

SELECTION: LADY ANNER

Next best: So Wonderful

5.55 Guinness Handicap 1m

Carrytheone faces no easy task trying to concede weight to most of his rivals on his handicap debut. His second to Delphi in another mile maiden at this venue reads well in light of that winner’s subsequent exploits.

The biggest danger could come from Frank Arthur who improved from his Roscommon maiden win to finish a ½l second to Fame And Acclaim in a decent handicap over this course and distance last month.

SELECTION: CARRYTHEONE

Next best: Frank Arthur
