2.05 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MAIDEN 5F
Callender made an encouraging start to his career when finishing third to Mister Trader in the first juvenile maiden of the season at this track last month. He was eventually beaten just over six lengths into third but came home nicely in the closing stages and he should be all the better for that run. With this in mind he is taken to succeed and he can confirm form with Intensely Focussed who was beaten 11 lengths into sixth in that same race.
Psychedelic Funk is a son of Choisir out of a daughter of the useful stakes winner Zeitory. He is a newcomer of note along with Sixtysix who is an own-sister to the useful sprinting juvenile Abbakova.

She has the benefit of a recent outing and that could make Sufoof hard to beat. This 80-rated filly began her campaign with a very solid third to Stenographer in a maiden over this course and distance where she was beaten less than 1 length. She is entitled to have progressed from that run and a repeat performance could well suffice.
Waitaki showed promise in both her runs last season, notably when finishing a one and three-quarter length second to Kalisma in a 7f maiden at Naas in September. On her Naas showing Waitaki has an edge over Ceol An Ghra whose best effort was a three-quarter length second to Zalfana in a mile maiden here last August.

Master Speaker can improve on his runner-up finish in this race last year. He returned to action with a sixth to Bubbly Bellini over this course and distance last month when he didn’t enjoy the best of runs but was still beaten less than one and half lengths. A better passage and a good draw could enable him to prevail this time.
Bubbly Bellini is just 2lbs higher as a result of that narrow triumph over Club Wexford and Rattling Jewel. He hasn’t fared too well with the the draw and nor has the last named. Expreso Brailero is interesting as he should like the ground but the biggest danger could come from Bluesbreaker who made a striking start in handicaps to win a useful 6f contest on very testing ground at Cork on Monday. He is still open to considerable improvement.
Selection: MASTER SPEAKER

3.50 BIG BAD BOB GLADNESS STAKES (GROUP 3) 7F
He has a 316 day absence to overcome but Endless Drama still gets the vote. On his last run he posted a career best effort to finish a superb three-quarter length second to Gleneagles in the Irish 2000 Guineas. That effort marks him out as one that should hold his own in high class company this season. He is entitled to need this run but it is encouraging that he performed to a reasonable standard in two starts on heavy ground in the early part of last season.
It would not surprise if Endless Drama was given most to do by Sruthan. The latter won this race in 2014 and looked to have been restored to the peak of his powers when bolting up in the Irish Lincoln last month. Joaillere is also respected as she looks to improve on an encouraging comeback third in the Park Express Stakes.
Selection: ENDLESS DRAMA
Next Best: Sruthan

Bocca Baciata is worth taking a chance on. She made up into a quality filly last season when she won at listed and Group 3 level in addition to posting some decent efforts in defeat at a higher level. This Big Bad Bob filly does seem to be at home on slow ground and it is encouraging to note that on her comeback last season she defeated Pleascach in the Salsabil Stakes at Navan.
The top class Found sets a daunting standard having defeated Golden Horn to win the Breeders Cup Turf on her last start. She is a top drawer middle-distance filly who turned in a succession of excellent runs in the best of company last season. She might just be vulnerable on her comeback and it is nine years since Aidan O’Brien last won this race.
Selection: BOCCA BACIATA

If the ground turns very testing it would be something of an unknown for Gallope but this filly made up into a useful type last season and she could easily do better still this year. On her only previous try at this trip she was second in a small field conditions event at Fairyhouse, while she showed good form to chase home Champagne Or Water in a mile handicap at this track last July. She is vastly better than she showed last time out. Vintage Charm won a Navan handicap over this trip late last season and she is only 2lbs higher. With her yard having made a bright start to the season she warrants the utmost respect. Testing ground would be an unknown for her too.
Selection: GALLOPE

US Army Ranger is a speculative choice to make a winning debut in a race that his trainer has quite a strong recent record in. This well regarded son of Galileo is out of the Irish Oaks heroine Moonstone. She has already produced a trio of stakes winners and two of those, Words and Nevis, were at their best over middle-distances.
Aasheq is an interesting newcomer who holds some smart entries. This son of Dubawi is out of a classy racemare whose first two runners have both won at stakes level. Balanced Approach showed promise when sixth in a Leopardstown race won by Awtaad at the end of last season and he could be the other one to focus on.
Selection: US ARMY RANGER
